Ii's pretty hard to prove a negative. He does seem to have a close relationship with her, and that is damning enough.

He claims he was being blackmailed. If so, somebody clearly thinks they have compelling and compromising evidence against Gaetz.

The part that must be proven are the charges, in court... if and when charges are filed.
He does claim to have audio of the blackmailers speaking to him, what they will show... who knows.

As far as a relationship, I know various people that went into politics, whether working for a campaign or as a congressional staffer that made their connections through family friends starting before they were 18 years old. The girl may have been interested in a media career and wanted to meet Tucker. For all we know, her parents may have pushed Gaetz to help her meet him.

It could be a set up. It certainly will be interesting to see it play out.

If he was boinking her, throw the book at him. If he was being blackmailed by a former DOJ official over baseless claims, then charge that guy.
I don't personally know any of the parties involved, so whatever happens to them has no effect on me. Damn near the whole state of Florida could go up in a mushroom cloud, and if it wasn't shown on the news, I wouldn't know that it happened.

He was 13 years older than me. My parents were outraged! I married him when I turned 18. We were together for 12 years. My daughter is the light of our lives.

Uh oh. I was 19 and my wife was 16 when we started dating. She was from a strict Italian family but I had their blessing, so there's that. That was 32 years ago.

Some 17 year old's are more mature than a 40 year old, but the wider the age gap, the less in common there really is.
