Pfizer Begins Human Trials of New Pill to Treat Coronavirus

Makes you wonder if these "vaccines" are the end all of covid, then why are the same companies driving forward with pills? What money is to be made if covid is eliminated by these vaccines?

I have a feeling that they already know that these vaccines are not going to handle it.

Pfizer Inc. said it has begun human safety testing of a new pill to treat the coronavirus that could be used at the first sign of illness.

If it succeeds in trials, the pill could be prescribed early in an infection to block viral replication before patients get very sick. The drug binds to an enzyme called a protease to keep the virus from replicating. Protease-inhibiting medicines have been successful in treating other types of viruses, include HIV and Hepatitis C.

Dolsten said Pfizer’s oral protease inhibitor, code-named PF-07321332, had a number of potential advantages. In lab tests, it worked against many coronaviruses, including the original SARS virus and MERS. Additionally, the coronavirus protease doesn’t mutate much, which means the therapy is likely to work equally well against numerous variant strains, he said.

In theory, the protease inhibitor could also be combined with other antiviral drugs, such as the one Merck is developing, Dolsten said.

Pfizer said it plans to share more data on the compound at the American Chemical Society meeting on April 6.

And yes, a lot of corporation are saying it will be mandatory for a job or to travel. The government has no power. The corporations that millions work for do. And they are the ones requiring it to return to work or to use their companies.

Besides. There are pills that are very cheap to get. They are called called vitamin c, vitamin d, and chaga mushrooms and can't be patented because they come from nature.

I agree with what you are saying...but tell people why Chaga and supplements will help them....what does the Chaga do and what does it kill ?

Bottom line is anti-parasitic/bacterial foods/remedys/drugs ....well they kill bugs dead.....out target with covid-cold is not the viral sized version of the Pleomorphic Bacteria we are fighting its the Bacterial sized version--- its relative---the one we commonly call "bad gut bacteria" that we must target for this is the main army we need to destroy....the viral version is only a common cold without its Army of Bacteria hiding in the gut waiting to morph into viral size and flood the bloodstream from inside.

Yeah... no thanks.

Protease inhibitors have really serious side effects.

They're just trying to get ahead of the cheap and very effective - and SAFE - treatments that are already available (ivermectin, hydroxy, or my favorite, high dose IV vit c).

These people need to be dragged in front of their own Nuremberg tribunals.

The first Big Pharma War. Nobody saw it coming. Interesting to see how these big companies competing like never before.

My prediction : One of them will offer you money or benefits if you choose their option. Wonder what they'll get in exchange.

Yep...the suppositories will be about 8 inches long and 3 inches in diameter.

You will have to bend over to insert it.

I'm not sure if it is a trypsin or serine protease inhibitor they are using. Just eat some potatoes, they have more serene protease inhibitor action than in soybeans at a quarter of the price. The inhibitor they are using is probably similar to camastat from potatoes.. I think I would rather eat a baked potato than take a pill. Or baby reds with the skin on....although I don't know if the chemistry is in new potatoes, it may only be in potatoes that have got a thicker skin from leaving them in the ground till the plant dies off.

The pharma companies can get a lot of potato peels from the french fry companies cheap, I would bet they extract the chemistry from the potato peels because it would be cheaper than trying to make it synthetically...Oh yeah, it is hard to patent nature chemicals.

Yeah.. Protease and polymerase inhibitors have been the best course of action for this, and many other viruses (imo).

"Funny" to see them releasing new proprietary drugs given what we know and have researched about these inhibitors in general.

If only we had other things readily accessible that could do the same thing.. Thatd be wild, huh?

How about this.......It not only decapacitates the virus but also prevents blood clotting.

I can't understand why anyone is actually getting sick from this virus, a real lot of the natural foods like potatoes, tomatoes, kiwi, grapefruit, celery, onions, and garlic, sage herb, and parsley are really good at combating this disease. You can even use cilantro or oregano to reduce risk, but I don't care for cilantro, it taste like gym shorts smell to me. Like spaghetti and potatoes though and make lots of chicken soup.

If you are coming down with a virus, make toast and put miracle whip on both sides, then pile some chopped onions on it and a couple of cloves of garlic chopped. A little salt and pepper tastes good on it too, and and peprin is similar in apigenin a chemical found in parsley and celery. It can help to get rid of any virus.

My dad taught me that, and I have made many onion and garlic sandwiches over the decades and rarely get very sick. My oldest daughter asked me if she could use Mayo instead of Miracle whip because she doesn't like miracle whip....I told her I do not know, I don't eat much mayo so have never tested it and my dad never mentioned it because he liked miracle whip too. It would not be properly applied science if I told her it would work without testing it.
