You could also argue, that the opposite is just as likely. Perhaps an alien invasion will be mistaken as the rapture.

And it’s based on a misinterpretation of the “meet in the air” phrase. It was most probably meant to mean something more like “meet in spirit.”

I heard that the Greek for “meet” used in the “meet Him in the air” phase is a word that describes meeting someone a ways off and then returning with them.

Sort of like “I’m going to meet Joe at the train and we’ll be back” The Greek word used doesn’t require the “and we’ll be back” at the end because that form of their word for meet already alludes to it.

Sort of like how old English has thee, thou, and ye.
Now we just use you for all three.

1. Clouds(U.F.O's) will cover the sky.

2. People will be shocked and scared.

3. Many people will be taken. This will be seen as an alien abduction.

4. People will not think it's the Rapture because many popular Christians will still be here on earth.

5. A Religious leader(false prophet) will introduce the name of blasphemy. He will say this mark will protect you in case the aliens come back.

6. Remember this when it happens. Don't be fooled because many Christians you see on TV aren't taken. Give your life to Christ and spread the word to as many people as you can because the tribulation period has started.

Here's some verses in the Bible that show clouds, chariots of fire, Ezekiel's wheel and more were Ancients trying to describe modern technology in the language of the day.

Exodus 24:18 - And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

The cloud carried Moses into the mountains.

Exodus 13:21 - And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

Exodus 40:34 and 35 - Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

When the cloud was hovering over the tabernacle, the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle and Moses couldn't enter. Could this be the power source of the craft which would kill or injure Moses or anyone if they entered while the cloud was hovering?

I can go on and on with examples. In the new Testament the Disciples were even missing time as they "ENTERED" the cloud.

Luke 9

34. While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

35. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

36. And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

They entered the cloud but soon as the voice finished speaking, it was just them and Jesus. Give your life to Christ today!

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with CLOUDS; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Not sure about clouds, or if people will actually see people being taken. The Bible says that it will happen in the blink of an eye. But, I do think it will be blamed on "bad aliens"

I was going to reply to a lot of the comments here about the 144,000 but realized that it was going off subject. So will make a thread about it. Had no intention to but would like to give some information about it.

Funny guy. When the rapture happens, we'll be taken out in the blink of an eye. There won't be time to put the keys anywhere. So, when I'm gone, just look for a pile of empty, baggy clothes. My car keys will be in the front right pocket. Two sets, the ones I use and a spare set.

Yes, that's exactly it! We will be taken in the blink of an eye. And the guy left in the field will probably wonder what happened. Satan will convince everyone that there was no such thing as a "Rapture," and that to cover for where all these people (Christians) went was not because they were raptured up into Heaven, but "space aliens" abducted them. Why do you think there are more and more proofs of "space aliens" being released from legitimate sources? It's because the time is near when these things that were spoke about in the Bible will come to pass. After the rapture, there will be 144,000 Jews who are suddenly enlightened and will try to convert you heathens that are left in the Tribulation to Jesus. I'm glad I'm not a heathen. My late father was a preacher and he was saying that Satan would delude the world into thinking there was no rapture and that it was alien abductions that took the people, and he was saying that since the early 1970s.

In fact, I think it’s laughable that a “chosen” special person has to turn it into something about me, when in fact, they are trying to make themselves out to be the “chosen” special, exceptional and one of the “few” special people

Yes absolutely and
I know of people who have lost family who have died prematurely and “God” didn’t heal that person because their faith wasn’t strong enough

I know many Christians who see God as a slot machine, just expecting to receive from Him, no compassion, love or empathy for others

As for the rapture, expectations that God will them and they won’t have to help anyone, just be secreted away

But that isn't what you said, you said they would lose their faith in droves if it doesn't happen. It hasn't happened and that hasn't caused people to lose their faith.

If their faith isn't strong, or if they want more than they give, it isn't necessarily because the rapture hasn't happened. That was a leap in logic on your part.

My point is that it has been almost 2,000 years and Jesus hasn't raptured the church, yet during that whole time people have been born, found faith in Jesus and died with that faith. They didn't lose it because the rapture didn't happen in their lifetime.

People who believe in the rapture, even if they have it wrong, don't have a due date for the rapture and if it doesn't happen by then they are calling it quits. At least I've never come across someone like that.
