I read about this a couple days ago, but only ran into a video of what they were talking about a few minutes ago. All i could translate from the video description is some boasting from a general about new capabilities for their navy. I suppose it can provide them with a decent defensive advantage, but it is still probably not enough to impede a serious adversary from carrying out a prolongued aerial campaign against their mainland.

IRGC Electronic Warfare Systems, Underground Missile Base
Riyadh Tangsiri: We also monitor the silent signals and internal communications of the enemy
Emphasizing that the process of upgrading the combat capability of the IRGC Navy will continue, the IRGC Navy Commander said: "Today, with the arrival of new electronic warfare equipment, we will be able to monitor even the silent signals and internal communications of the enemy."

Iran is not stupid and it is a smart move on their part to keep everything hidden and buried so their assets are not taken out with a first strike.

The place that is kinda on the front burner for me is Israel and Lebanon. Israel is saying regular houses are concealing missile and mortars for a further operation in Israel's northern territory.

You do not have to look far for there are many places that will erupt with just a little nudge, IMO.

It's almost like a come and get us shout from the Iranians. Was reading the other day about Trumps former top brass in his military saying the only way to take out the Iranian threat will be boots on the ground. Now this from Iran, it's almost confirmation that the only way to stop a nuclear Iran will be military intervention of one sort or another.

The US and presumably also Israel (especially given there trouble with tunnels from the west bank) have systems that can detect subterranean void's, magnetic signatures of metallic objects and also long duration spy satellite footage all of which probably have these locations perfectly pinpointed already.

They also have a variety of bunker busting weapons ranging from standard anti bunker ordnance to tactical nuclear bunker destroying weapon's designed to take out bases as big as Yamantau in Russia.

Pretty damned certain they know the exact location of these sites from high (Far higher then you will ever get to see) resolution multispectral satellite imaging, radar and other surface and subsurface scanning systems and on station observation platforms that will have watched Iran very intently for decades now.

Iran may be proud of what they have accomplished but it is like waving a wax spear in a furnace when it comes to an actual all out conflict if one kicks off.

Regardless, kinetic action will still cost us a heavy sacrifice despite knowing we have the numbers and alliance to come out on top in the end.

Israeli general also said the other day they can expect 2000 missiles per day in their next war with Hezbollah.

Israel's problem and one they are acutely aware of is that they are a small, densely populated target, there borders are therefore arguably more easily defended BUT what get's through is far more likely to cause massive damage to civilian's than in a larger country and there is almost no where for them to run if the going get's bad.

Not really a problem when almost every citizen you have is a trained soldier and can in such times be called up and in fact Israel on a war footing does have the means to expand it's borders very rapidly in a push if it was to come down to it, albeit illegally in the eyes of the international community.

That is why the Iron Dome defence system is so important to them, even more now that many ideologically opposed states have at least some nuclear capability even if that is only to make dirty bomb's.

This mean's that to stay safe Israel have to keep there finger on the trigger at all time's and be ready to strike first even up to and including use of there possibly over 200 nuclear weapon's on any target that they perceive as definitely about to do the same to them and also we have to remember that IF Israel is attacked and overrun or otherwise about to lose many of it's own missiles will then automatically launch and strike death blows to many of the nations that have threatened it, Iran is definitely on that target list as is Syria and even though on friendly term's with other nations Israel is always watching for the poison in the cup and the knife behind the back when dealing with them.

Other than NK and China's current aggressive stance the middle east remains one of the most dangerous places in the world and with the advent of the Nuclear threat to the region any such conflict could have sever global consequences.

A small scale nuclear war could in fact lead to up to two billion death's globally by throwing up a pall of dust into the atmosphere that would cut down on light getting through and reduce photosynthesis in plants worldwide.

A large scale one would be a global extinction level event.

But you have to understand WHY Israel has to have this capability and there own MAD policy, it is essential to there survival in an otherwise overwhelmingly hostile region of the world, I do not agree with the treatment of Palestinians when that is said however AND there are an absolutely HUGE number of Jewish people that feel the same but remember regardless the leaders of Israel do not have the luxury of playing the morally good guy's or the nice guy's when it comes down to there survival, that said many including among the few remaining Holocaust survivors and there family's have been critical with some even disowning the state of Israel for it's policy's out of disgust and a sense of betrayal after what they suffered.

But I mostly agree with Israel except for that one consideration, they definitely have a right to be home - I am related though a gentile - and they have to survive and to become strong enough never again - NEVER AGAIN - to be bullied, persecuted or massacred.

That said genetical analysis has shown a great many of the Palestinian people's, Christian and Islamic (there were Jewish Palestinian's before the founding of the state of Israel) are ALSO of JEWISH Descent, even many of there Family Names are of Jewish Origin, so kicking them off there land because they are seen as non Jew's just to settle Migrant Jews from Russia is basically hideously wrong, it is Jew persecuting Jew and yes they have lost there religion but that tends to happen when you are invaded again and again and again and again over eon's.

Look at the lasting harm that TESTS done by the former Soviet Union, The West and of course China is still having on the entire world, think how many people may have had disease and death caused by those tests even long, long after they were carried out.
www.bbc.co.uk...
And of course this lasting radioactive fallout still floating in the upper atmosphere all these decades later affects EVERYONE on the planet, human, animal and plant life.

Now imagine if a real war occurred, how long would it stay up there given that this is still up there decades after those tests, and how much more dense would the atmospheric light reducing haze of poisonous and radioactive dust particles be, at that altitude it is somehow suspended due to it's tiny particulate size and is too far up to garner much water so seldom, very seldom indeed ever form's a rain drop's core particle.

The problem is "palestinians" never existed as a people before the PLO was invented. The Romans unlawfully renamed Hebrew/jew lands to palestinia, then scattered them after a while. Then the nomads rolled in and lived there without claiming anything.

But that will be the end of them, it's almost insane to get too cock sure with TPTB. Look what happened to Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Vietnam, Syria, totally destroyed as a threat, even the USSR was likewise destroyed through economics. All threats long term have been neutralised by TPTB when they start getting above themselves (be this right or wrong) and Iran is just falling into the same trap.

To be frank Iran is taking advantage of a weak administration. Us supply convoys in Iraq have been hit with multiple IED's nearly everyday this week, and there was an attack near deir ezzor Syria yesterday I think.

The Pentagon retaliates, but the fact it's becoming more frequent is worrisome when factoring in all the other movements nearby.

Ukraine actually believes it has a plan to retake Crimea by force because they think Biden admin has their back. I'm betting on the actual execution of this plan, whatever it may be, never manifests.
