Is this an Orb or something else?

A few weeks/months ago I had this really cool creepy fog in my yard. It was at sunrise and the weird thing it was only in my yard.
It was right at eye level. I've lived here for a while and have never seen something like this before.
I rushed in got my camera and snapped this pic. There is a weird green, thing in the fog. It's at the lower right of the pic.
Is this an orb, just weird lights from the sun reflecting?
Something else? This photo was cropped to take out my neighbors house, but it is otherwise totally unedited.

That is really odd. Do you remember seeing the green stuff with the naked eye?

Who knows these days what is happening with the universe as a whole. Strange days ahead I can vouch for that.

As an amateur photographer and by the shape of it (tail away from the sun) and that it is out of focus I would say it was something on the lens.

It isn't a bit of a fogbow... I've seen those before.

But I'm a noob to the subject of photography and I am sure there are much better minds on ATS than mine on the subject that will chime in soon...

Still a cool image.

Oh! Very good point. If taken inside it could be a reflection from the window...

I did not see the green, but the fog was very weird, eye level very thick and I noticed right away it was only in my yard. I thought that was odd at the time.

The fog in person was much much more dense in person, I was disappointed the pic did not capture that, but noticed that green thing...

Hmm. My best guess would be that it's also fog, but it's reflecting something. But you really never know!

I blew it up and looked at it...

The "orb" is between the fog and the camera and is out of focus.

It is obscuring a bit of the fog.

But that's just an opinion and it is a sunny day here so I am wandering out to the garden to prep the asparagus beds for spring.

That one does show it better, if you have not seen fog in the area before it is something, fog tends to show up in the same moist or shadowed areas in the mornings.

It's mist.

I know what it is, but what is the green shape? Is mist normally green in some areas?

Look at my OP, look at the lower right, what is this? Also wanted to add, this is before there are any leaves on trees or grass on the ground, so it is not reflecting that color from the landscape.

I can't see any green object.

But since you didn't see it yourself and only noticed on the photo, it wouldn't be stretching credulity to suggest that it's a photographic anomaly.

Much better to copy the the ATS address, especially when there may be a secondary magnification.

There's nothing strange about the mist, it's the rising sun acting on a cooler surface, and the green colour probably just refracted light on the camera at a low angle, and perhaps because of dirt or grease, fingerprint maybe.

Could be swamp gas, just kidding. It's weird, I see what looks like a half circle in front of it like it is traveling really fast.

The orbs I saw the one time were all perfectly round and basketball sized
