Thoughts on the chauvin trial

The jury is being selected for the trial of Derrick chauvin. This will no doubt be in news headlines in the very near future.

I don't have a definite answer on how long the trial will last but I dont imagine it will be very long considering the alleged murder is on video.

My biggest piece of advice is for the defending attorney to give his/her closing arguments while Mr chauvin has a knee on his neck.

That coupled with the coroner's report should acquit mr chauvin as get the riots started.

I wonder if the governor will be smart enough to have the national guard ready for the aftermath.

There's a bit of uncertainty as to whether or not they can get him on a murder charge. George had already OD'ed on what he was carrying plus it appears that the knee to the neck was a approved method to subjugate a combative suspect in custody by Minneapolis police department policies. George was already a dead man by the time they were making the video.

Hate to say it but it looks like Chauvin may get off.

Hasn't the coroner stated Floyd died of a mixture of drugs, not lack of air. Having seen the video a few times the main thing that hits me is during the knee on the neck Floyd is heard to shout repeatedly "I can't breath", now let me tell you that nobody, and I mean nobody can continually shout "I can't breath" without breathing. Don't believe me? Try it.

I live in MN and I am hearing the same. I also heard on a news radio station that the defense was trying to submit new evidence that there were pills found in the backseat of the cop car that had Floyd’s DNA on them indicating he was consuming the pills.

I don’t think that whatever sentence comes down will be good enough. The BLM movement has never been about justice but about anarchy and destroying things. Isn’t it great that the trial is going to start right when the weather is getting nicer here. Why didn’t they get this going in January if they were so concerned about riots?

Then we had another shooting at the Floyd “autonomous zone” where they are not letting rescue vehicles in to help people. It has been a massive fail by the Governor and City.

My thoughts:

Chauvin used a restraint that cops are trained to use. I don't think he had a lot of pressure on Flord's neck or else he wouldn't have kept losing his balance. I think Flord was so high on drugs, along with his heart condition and coronavirus, that he couldn't breathe because he was about to be taking his last breath regardless. He wasn't even pronounced dead on the scene. I think Flord died from his own actions and Chauvin was just doing his job.

We predicted that when Keith Ellison over charged him! They want the city to burn to the ground. They already have an INSURRECTION where 4 whole city blocks have been taken over by BLM and they won't allow anyone in that they don't want in including police. Oh and 2 black men have already been shot in the love fest, one killed.

Yep. There's a reason cowardly jury members are dropping out due to fear of being threatened. They know there's not a legitimate charge against Chauvin.

If he receives no punishment, there will be riots. If he does receive punishment, there will be riots because it will never be enough. Even if its the death penalty..

If the Minneapolis City Clowncil and the State of Mn had any sense they would invade this zone at 5 in the morning and put under National Guard control. But they don't. It's going to burn. The worst possible result imaginable.
