Hitler didn't get to Dunkirk quick enough. He was to occupied sight seeing in Paris.

Yep.
Had Hitler spent more time bombing radar towers and airfields instead of cities the battle would have been much different.

He greatly underestimated how much radar helped the RAF direct their fighters.

The British were pretty smart cookies.....or is it biscuits?

It's original name was worlds championship series.
That became a thing by having a playoff between two separate leagues to make a unified champion.

At the time they were the only professional leagues but since then the name stuck.

You might be able to answer your own question if you can work out why Americans have obsessively created a "First Family" out of their elected leader's immediate relatives. Parodied in "Veep" by including a "First Dog of the United States".
Isn't all that a fairly obvious "Royal Family" substitute? The same psychology must apply to both areas of interest.

No they are far too nice. The reality is that is what the Canadians use for US, we are the scary ones.
