His TM practice is a huge part of where he finds inspiation and influences all his work-My bro has one of his books one the subject.
I seem to remember him talking about other entities he has interacted with during meditation-and that they are not all nice,kind of like his weird smoky people from the lodge.
I have never attained the level of meditating to get to meet entities-but I have though other means(kind of shamanic stuff)and some of those thought creations are pretty darned weird.

The genius of DL is how he translates all of his visionary stuff into really great movies.

I really agree with your last point.
One thing is to have weird experiences and to use them to help yourself but it's another level to enrich other people's lives with them.
I have written a story with shadow people as an influence that I saw once but it only got published in a zine. They are not good or helpful at all though.
IMHO that was a result of sloppy ritual 'hygiene' on my part when I was younger. No such things these day.s
My life is dryer now, but also more deep and interesting. If that makes sense.

Jungian archetypes, part of soul/collective unconscious also present in dreams.

Yep.
Then you have those 'dreams' that become lucid , that then become literal OOBE's. Fascinating. Esp when they are 'gifted'

The original twin peaks watching it as it aired was a fun ride. Scared the heck out of me.
