the Justice Thomas dissent is a mighty small 'finger-in-the-dike'.... the 'free & fair election' Ruse had a exaggerated Shelf-Life...as it was believed at all after President Eisenhower is a Wonder (Atoms for Peace era?)

political ascendancy to JFK
political hemorrhage to Goldwater

were early outward signs of skullduggery Afoot

perhaps if an investigation were to happen, any "wrong doing" might be easier to pinpoint.

There is nothing to 'investigate' in this case we're discussing for 'wrong doing', it was whether or not a State Supreme Court can make changes to voting laws based on the State's Constitution and it's voter access requirements. It was a court ruling, nothing more. It was rendered moot because the segregated votes in question were never counted and if counted wouldn't have changed the election outcome.

The Supreme Court basically said, 'Go handle this at the State level, we'll look at it on the Federal level if it comes up again AND you get it on on time'.

The Pennsylvania case was destined to fail since the lawyers didn't allege the ballots in question were numerous enough to change the outcome of the election in Pennsylvania.

When lawyers show you who they are, believe them.
