The House of Representatives has decided to pack their version of the $1.9 Trillion stimulus bill.

Big money and loads not really related to the COVID19 "crisis" !!

All kinds of pork and butter jammed inside.

I wonder what the average Citizen will get (other than the shaft) ?

What will YOU be getting ?

Always trust your government and all their help 🤩

Always a kind word for everybody !!😆💫

Alarming items stuffed inside House Dem's $1.9T stimulus bill: Health surveillance, animal COVID studies

House Democrats unveiled Friday the $1.9 trillion economic stimulus package they hope to pass by late next week. Included in the bill are $1,400 stimulus checks and numerous other pandemic-related relief measures, like additional funding for state and local governments and more federal unemployment benefits.

The bill — which was "stitched together" by the Democratic-controlled House Budget Committee, according to Reuters — was also filled with dozens of items completely unrelated to direct pandemic relief.

More bailouts for the Democratic states that allowed their cities to burn to the ground, I’d presume.

These downtown areas are still boarded up ghost towns. Well, with the exception of the homeless tents everywhere of course.

Not that I will read it but I am sure it’s 591 pages of garbage with barely squat directly to the American people.

It really depends if the paper is two-ply or not as to the worth of it.

Just saying.

I doubt any of the democrats actually read it either.

I’d imagine each member would skim the relevant sections, just to make sure their pet pork got included.

More like their staffers read it then passed up a short synopsis in bullet points.
It's why they pay their minions to do their jobs.
Just saying.

I'm interested in this part...

Subtitle G—Promoting Economic Security

With a name like "Promoting Economic Security" you know it is going to do the opposite if you work for a living...

Starts at page 454.

Tax laws are being changed by this bill as well.

I wonder if anything in this Subtitle will help the average American worker?

Digging into it to find out...

ETA... erm... there is 137 pages of this bill that is re-writing our tax code.

Digging further...

Line item veto or some other mechanism needs put in place to split these bills up so people can be held accountable for each spending item.

Both parties are guilty, govt shutdowns have been used to keep these shenanigans going.

There is NO SHAME, even with 30 trillion in debt, we just keep electing the same fools.

Uugh. I thought that was one of the best things that Trump did was to allow the creation of the apprenticeship program..

And instead he reinstated...

Biden's executive order also reinstated the National Advisory Committee on Apprenticeships to address the "clear need to engage with leaders and practitioners from industry, labor, education, workforce and community organizations" as well as modernize, streamline and diversify the registered apprenticeship model, DOL said in the announcement.

They had to make it racist again.

OOP... I mean dependent on skin color....

Wait.

It's the same thing.

Last I heard there was still 1.1 Trillion Dollars left over from the earlier Stimulus Bill they hadn't spent yet. I guess that wasn't enough money for them and they want more. I do remember a time in the past when Biden said "We had to spend money like crazy so we wouldn't go bankrupt" maybe this is to keep us from going belly up. Like chopping a hole in the bottom of a sinking boat so the water has some where to go to get out.

Starting to inject race into everything is systemic racism. It does not matter what color your skin is, some people are more fitted to one profession than another. You don't stick people who are afraid of heights on ladders or roofs...no matter what color they are.

It was $1.9 Trillion BEFORE Congress left for 12 days of vacation. While away, each Representative (including Republicans) have been dreaming up new pork projects and gifts. When they return on February 22nd, the $1.9 Trillion will have magically ballooned to over $2 Trillion dollars.

And almost forgot...

3. funneling any citizen stimulus through big banks, which invariable leads to missing/unaccounted for funds.

As I've said before, entrusting stimulus dispersal to these banks is sort of like asking someone to carry a gallon of water a few dozen yards by carrying it in a sieve. Don't be surprised to hear about the new & creative ways the banks siphon of stimulus funds after the next round kicks in.
