Who Remembers High School Rectangle Pizza?

At first, I was alone. I was petrified. I thought high school pizza was never by my side.

I don't know if it's the golden effect of time, but I remember it as being really good, that 2-cheese blend cradling those little savory square bits of pepperoni. It appears there are entire underground societies, Facebook groups, online copycat recipes, and forums dedicated to unlocking its glory, either from home or in the search of finding the righteous and true legit manufacturer. Was it Tonys? Was it Visco Foods? The debate rages!

For those of you belonging to this prestigious society, stand and be counted. Let your presence be known.

We would get any extra pizza, and a bread bag of french fries for study hall

We always needed it, as we had the "muchies"

Not so much high school for me but elementary school. Used to have to soak up the grease with a napkin. That "pizza" crust was cardboard and the "cheese" on it....the horror. I'm just lucky I got through school before Michelle Obama started caring about school lunches.

Nah, I think I'll pop into Keste this weekend to cleanse my mind from these abominations.

It's funny that chiefsmom would mention the munchies. That song in the OP video took me back to, not only the school lunch pizza, but to other activities as well!

Bro there is a gas station about 15 minutes from here that sells 4 packs of the school pizzas from back in the day.

Next time I go through there I will stop and get some and let you know who makes them.

No sushi they have fresh fried chicken and potatoes pretty good but nothing compared to the pizza.

I grew up lower-middle class, which meant every day a peanut butter & honey sandwich on dry wheat bread heels (honey sogging thru the bread), one apple, and a bag of carrots. I was 80lbs soaking wet. When I hit High School and found that pizza, it was a true Shawshank Moment.

Oooo!

Man, I wish I had a balance in my lunch account when I was in school.
