The person that was banging on her door was actually the capitol police coming to move her to a safe place.

But.... She was not even in the capitol building when the riot started.
She was in the Cannon building.
A different building near by.

I guess you have never been to wahington DC But the cannnon house building is across the street from the capitol you can see the front doors. It opens on the same street as the capitol and any protest outside the capitol would also been right in front of her if she was in the cannon house. Even i would feel threatened if there was a riot at the capitol building.

But having said that is she playing it up probably but does it matter?

Inciting fear is legal, a moral obligation.

Inciting violence is wrong.

Learn the administration's tatics and adhere to them.

I wonder if she will use the Jussie defense. he just stuck to his story even as it was smashed to little bits. Unapologetic and clearly wrong, but he claims to be telling the truth. And as long as nobody ever prosecutes him, (even for sending himself white powder through the USPS) then why would he admit guilt? it's the way these assholes roll. And they have the backing of other assholes to protect them. Like Harris, who used Jussie's horrible attack to ram some anti-lynching bill through. I have actually been inside the capitol building several years ago.
There were armed guard with plenty of firepower overlooking the entrances. Nobody was going inside unless those men allowed it to happen.

As I said in my op, I don't blame her at all for being scared. But since a woman two doors down from her says that aoc is full of crap I think it does matter.
