If we respectfully followed all premises of one certainly correct phrase, there'd be no issue. That phrase? Your life matters.

All other your life matter phrases are obsolete and project blame. They don't address personal responsibility or the lacking thereof in peoples lives. Ownership of self is paramount to self respect and the respect of others. The foundation to a population that gets along and tolerates differences in the ideals of personal freedom.

Interestingly enough, blacks during the Segregation years had to build their separation system and economies too. And there was a thriving black middle class with black business owners on per economically with their white counterparts.

What do you think the Tulsa riots were about?

When Segregation was ended, that black middle class was heavily damaged. Black exercised their new freedoms to patronize white businesses, which they did ... but it came at the expense of the black businesses who could not stay in business in many cases because while blacks could and did patronize whites, the inverse was often not true. Whites would not patronize black businesses.

Racism may have been "legally" dead, but social attitudes are a lot harder to change.

Just saying that people both watched Trump on TV/online and watched Trump in person and showed up to hate on Trump and destroyed DC.

No one showed up to watch Biden or hate on Biden. No one watched him online. So the only numbers are his TV numbers.

And? My point is that blacks did have a working system, so much so, that whites felt compelled to destroy it ... sort of like Big Tech felt compelled to destroy Parler. The competition was too much, but it was also very real.

The two systems did not integrate gracefully, but that wasn't the fault of white businesses, or black ones. It was the choices made by blacks who shopped at white owned businesses because they could instead of patronizing their own to support them through the changes even though they had the freedom not to. Eventually, whites would have started patronizing black owned businesses on their own, but it was always going to take time.

Nowadays, no one thinks anything of it.

What's the big deal with how many people were watching the inauguration? I don't think watching them on tv means much. I watched both the Trump and Biden inauguration on tv. That doesn't mean I like either of them. I've watch just about every time a president has been on tv in the past 15 years. Doesn't mean I liked or supported any of them.
