Joe Biden says 'Salute the Marines' instead of doing it.

Embedded in this link is a clip of the inauguration. It shows Biden entering the White House (I think). As he goes through the doorway that is flanked by two Marines he appears to say, "Salute the Marines"....instead of actually doing it.
I've listened to the clip a hundred times and to me, it appears like that's exactly what Joe says. The spin from MSM is that Joe instead says, "Good lookin' Marines".
To be fair, you can almost fool yourself into thinking the latter is what is said. However, a great many of us do think that Joe is indeed getting help via an earpiece from....someone, and I believe Joe just repeated what was said in his ear rather than complimenting the Marines.
Joe never saluted them, which while not mandatory, is something ALL Presidents do and have done out of respect. (Strange those Marines didn't salute him either...which could be something...or nothing.)

Normally, I would blame Joe himself for just being an idiot and some hateful liberal. My thought however is that this is sad. I don't think Joe has the mental capability to understand what he's even doing most times. He's old. Old people lose their cognitive ability. In a way, I kinda feel bad that an old man is being treated and bullied into doing the dirty work for Socialists so he can ultimately take all the blame.
I'm not making excuses for Joe...I disliked him for years and believe he's corrupt. I just believe that his culpability in whatever happens moving forward is limited by is obvious lack of mental faculties.

I suspect the same. He reminds me of my grandmother when she began feeling dementia. She had good days and bad days and in between days. She could be fine one minute, and not the next. When she would realize something wasn't right, it was very disturbing to her. My husband's aunt is suffering dementia now, and can be very angry and hostile and belligerent to others, and I often think it's because she knows something's not right but can't figure it out, and it's very frustrating to her. I sometimes see similar in Joe.

It is cruel for anyone to be put in such a position, including Joe. Unfortunately, he made his own bed. The one I'm really side-eyeing is his wife. Given Joe's declining health, she's probably got the most to lose at this point.

But it wouldn’t really surprise me I guess, disrespecting the national anthem by kneeling and them being revolted by the sight of the American flag are things we are used to the Leftists doing.

I too pointed that out, its called " stored up anger ". His mental capacity whether it declines or not will only be shown once he is shielded from the public like Regan was. And that is the truth.

I don't think it was necessary to salute at that time with the informality going on. After he enters the Oval office and leaves it and sees his guards at the helicopter he should salute then.

The fact that the Washington Post had to do an article presenting an "alternative" theory as fact is telling and obvious 🤣

Now that Biden is president, will he render a real salute, or Obama's halfway "whatever" salute?

I'm just guessing but i believe his response will be the same to the military as it is to the

Hey if we’re gonna critique the non-regulation presidential salutes let’s not leave GWB out of it. He was fond of the cupped hand and wrong angle salute. Clinton often stuck his hand in the middle of his forehead. GHWB did the same thing. DJT at least had his hand straight most of the time but that thumb had a nasty habit of being off doing it’s own thing while the rest of the hand was trying it’s best. The salute he threw at a general of a nation we’re still technically at war was pretty snappy, though.

It’s almost like nobody really teaches most of these guys what the protocol is, how to render it, and when to render it. And even the guys with military experience do it how they want because they are who they are and nobody but the media particularly cares about the angle of their arm and hand.
