Fusion of the Cs must be way different than
Lumbar Fusion.
I was on a walker for 8 weeks!

If I am correct, the lumbar is back surgery, I never had that, I had neck surgery.
They call it spinal fusion and it was a cinch, I was running after my surgery....running through a drug store looking for aspirins.
They gave me a book on it that scared me but the reality, was that it was easier than they said.
They worked me up to be scared but in the end, it was easy as making toast.

The C's is the neck, lumbars is the back.

Yeah, I don't see the old chicks around here whining about their pain. Us men are a bunch of wimps.

Some news, it's either Parkinson's Disease or Benign Essential Tremor.

It's in both arms and my head (tremor) now.

On the plus side, I'm still not a democrat.

Pray that it is a Benign Essential Tremor.
My dad has Parkinson’s and it’s been a very difficult thing...
I would not wish it on my worst political enemy.

On the plus side, he does have two nurses that give him a shower.

I'd rather you were a democrat.

We all have to work with the cards we're dealt.

Life is often darkly funny that way.

Better to go out laughing, (or riding a dragon weilding a flaming sword drinking the blood of your enemies) than not.

I'd rather have my tremors, thank you very much!

I'm sure it will turn out to be the 'benign' thingy.
Besides, you're already way funnier than Michael J. Fox.

You know all your friends here truly care about you...and will be hoping and praying for the best for you.

Thank you. I spent the day in downtown Portland with my neurologist. She's smart, brutally honest, didn't pull any punches. She did say not to drink at work (bitch) but I'll forgive her that.

We did spend some time talking alma maters since my Masters was in Neurobiology so she knew not to bullspit me.

It's good you've got that kind of relationship with her.
Hopefully, she's not Asian.

Something sneaky. . . . she said she observed me in the waiting room to determine my tremor in a non-controlled setting. She wanted to see me "unobserved" to see how I acted naturally.

That's how she pegged me when I said it was just in my left arm/hand and she said, "liar" it's in both hands and your head.

She's THAT good. Or else I'm just a lousy liar. I tried to downplay my symptoms and she had me do a series of tests with my eyes closed, totally f#cked me up and exposed the issues.

Between your doctor and your Mrs...you're not getting away with ANY BS.
It's good to know you're in capable hands.

AND...
You're going to be okay.
