Weeeeeeel.

With everything going on at the moment this is a little bit of happy news for us UK dwellers.

I've long argued that the Biased Broadcasting Corporation should be stripped of its license fee.

We have to pay to be drip fed propaganda?!

Anyhoo, from "Auntie Beeb" herself, my heart bleeds, NOT!

www.bbc.co.uk...

"The BBC faces "significant" uncertainty over its financial future due to changes in viewing habits, a National Audit Office report has found.

While the BBC remains the most used media brand in the UK, its share of younger audiences has been under pressure," the spending watchdog said.

Falling audience share poses a financial risk as people are less likely to pay the licence fee."

The BBC said it had already set out plans for "urgent" reforms."

Reforms? Up the fee? Stop broadcasting state sanctioned propaganda? Cancel Eastenders (we live in hope.) Hire a Male Dr.Who!!!??

Ah, the BBC. Used to be so good. Now even their world-class science documentaries are dumbed-down and tedious. Oh, some things are good, but mostly it's celebrity drivel.

The BBC needs to return to an impartial and un-opinionated news service with high quality programming which educates and challenges. I'd pay for that. I don't enjoy paying excessive salaries for bias celebrities and a London woke echo chamber who act, and are, a bunch of morons.

Sorry to be (er) miserable.

No..
It's a female Dr who.
Identity politics ruined the franchise.

The writers were standing on the shoulders of giants to gain their audience and pooped all over canon.

The BBC leadership should be tarred and feathered.

Standard government policy since the early nineties.

Defund, quasi-marketise, privatise.

The BBC does a good job.

The proof?

The right think its too left wing.

The left think its too right wing.

Brexiteers thought it too remain.

Remainers think it too Brexity.

Old Whovians think it's too feminist.

Feminists think its a bulwark of patriarchy.

Any binary issue you like, it pisses off both sides.

On aggregate, that's balance.

The people it really pisses off? The non-dom billionaires who own most of the British press and much of the rest of the media. They've been outgunned for the best part of 100 years so they've created a narrative intended to undermine and eventually take out the BBC.

Screw them. There's a lot wrong with the BBC but there's always room for a brodcaster with moral purpose.

Riiiiight.

So it's "go woke, go broke sometime in the future, maybe".

Not as catchy.

You ever hear of the sigma curve in business development?

Stand still, you die.

Riiiight....

Layoffs don't have anything to do with cost cutting and losing money.

Bwhahaha... DC will be the first domino in the bankruptcy pile.

Blimey. You don't know a sigma curve from a hole in the ground and you think cost cutting has only to do with losing money?

What do you do for a living?

If you want an insight into DC's issues, look at the way they've had to reorganise after Diamond Distribution's problems. Look at the mood at Warner.

I've ran my own business for nearly 20 years.
Employment agency.
Have you?

And sigma curves are covered in basic economic classes. Return on investment and whatnot, bell curve deviation. Yadda, yadda..

Layoffs are a direct sign of of business downturn and an immediate way to cut costs.
The company's I linked above have taken major revenue hits and the main culprit is identity politics.
