CIA Director Gina Haspel Announces Resignation

CIA Director Gina Haspel resigns, that is kind of a shock one day before Trump, leaving now almost seems it was done because there is so much going on and it would go unnoticed somewhat. Maybe she is slinking out of the office, being forced by Biden wanting his own appointee. LOL needs to recover from unspecified gunshot wounds, has a new job as head of security at Dominion Software. Seriously though the timing is odd.

CIA Director Gina Haspel, who has had an increasingly strained relationship with President Trump during the final year of his administration, announced Tuesday that she is leaving the agency.


Haspel did not articulate the reason for her departure, which comes on the last full day of Trump’s presidency, though Axios reported last week that she had threatened to resign in early December when Trump sought to install loyalist and former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) aide Kash Patel as her deputy in hopes of pushing Haspel out the agency.

Trump instead installed Patel as chief of staff to acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller, who he reshuffled to the top of the agency after firing Mark Esper post-presidential election.

She sounds like she was ready to retire but, can you really believe a spook? Think the CIA is up to their tits in crap around the world as always, and as always will hide behind "national security" any times said it is in a wringer. FWIW I believe there are good CIA and FBI people but the system is rotten, bloated, and corrupt and that's no matter which party is in office.

Ther same Bill Burns who testified to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about the Ukrainian situation in 2014 ? Must have said the right things or more than likely covered the right asses
