The so-called "Digital Statecraft Summit" was organized by the Claremont Institute, a conservative think tank that says its mission is to "restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful, preeminent authority in our national life." A list of speakers for the event includes a combination of past and current government officials as well as a who's who of far-right provocateurs. One speaker, conservative legal scholar John Eastman, rallied the president's supporters at a White House event before the Capitol Hill riot earlier this month. Some others have been associated with racist ideologies.

What is “woke tech”? Is this just a catchphrase for “things we don’t agree with”? At least this meeting should bring money to the area.

The reality is that echo chambers and populism exists in so many ways... from the idiotic flat-earthers.... to the affluent people calling for Marxism on the extreme left, to the Trumpists who think their POTUS is a messiah... (also the same people who excoriated Obama supporters for the same fervor)

The only hope America has now is a major war with an external power. Until we are forced to fight together against an external enemy, we will continue allowing the dumbest among us to fight each other...

Woke my foot

Imagine this being your primary hope because you wish to defend what big tech has done to public discourse in America.

Don't worry. That external war you're wishing for is surely coming. It's already baked into the agenda.

What a load of BS. It isn't your countremen and women that work in the military, that is torn up in politics. If a "major war" broke out, you wouldn't notice it much in your daily life. It's the soldiers that put their head on risk, not you, except you are an enlisted soldier.

Are you an enlisted soldier?

advocating a war you won't fight!!!

You’re off the deep end. You know the major powers have nuclear weapons right?

Also using war to distract from issues at home is the oldest trick in the book.

Outside your house perhaps.

You could dig a moat and fend off those pesky patriots.

Blowing up the world is something of an overreaction to a summit by a think tank.

Though with that out there i will admit i am really quite excited to hear your solutions to inner city crime and the student debt crisis.

Jesus, taking selfies at the capitol and identifying their treason, then meeting in a place with more hidden cameras than Langley.

I know, right?

Maybe your side should share their tips on how to properly subvert a nation.

Sorry but that 'war' stuff gets people dead.

Any country that needs war to unify its people and shore up its economy isn't worth dying for. They are - literally - the bad guys.

What is “woke tech”?

You don't know what it is , yet you start a thread on the subject ?
Research the subject matter first.

Denying ignorance.
Why ?
Have people forgotten what research is ?
