It is clear the political situation for Christians in America that it is time to be reminded of these verses, I know I found them helpful.
Regardless of what happens, we can't depend on the governments, and we never could, the last 4 years if anything just added time before the "Great Tribulation" actually starts.

God has determined as he said in Luke 12:2-3, that the secrets will be uncovered, the truth will come forth, and God's thought about every behavior and action will be vindicated. What's done in the dark will come to light, and thank God he has created it to operate so!

Psalm 73 is a good commentary on the rich and powerful that we see strutting on the tv these days.

Yes the white hats at least mean well and aim for some level of justice and sanity, the black hats however are just plain evil and do the bidding of the devil himself, they thrive on injustice and cackle like the Emperor when their evil plans work out.
Sometimes we forget God can step in at any moment and end them all for what they are doing to humanity and this earth.

I would say that we may be entering the time of "patient endurance" the half times spoken of are 3.5 years which turns out to be nearly one presidential term.
