Mayor Lori Lightfoot Wants To Reopen

CHICAGO (CBS) — Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Thursday said Chicago restaurants and bars need to be allowed to reopen “as quickly as possible” not just to help those businesses survive, but to cut down on instances of private parties where people don’t take proper precautions against COVID-19.

Under the state’s virus mitigation plan, Chicago’s restaurants and bars were forced to halt indoor service in late October. While Gov. JB Pritzker has said some regions of the state can begin rolling back some COVID-19 restrictions starting Friday if they meet certain virus thresholds, reopening of indoor dining wouldn’t happen until each region moves back at least three more phases, and Chicago is not yet on track to begin easing restrictions.

Her, Cuomo, and Whitmer. I imagine Newsom won’t be too far behind. Their constituents should be livid. They should be recalled for what they did and why they did it. But they’re on the right side of the aisle... which is the left, so it’s all good I guess.

In Poland poeple starts to reopen in many cities, against goverments will and laws. I am happy to see my people took it in their hands. Lot of places hire a quests as a 'food testers' of their Chef. Sign for a job and eat a good meal.

Yep Heil Whitler did the same thing here in Michigan, everything is opening on Feb 1st after 9 months of lockdowns.

Then there's the incompetent vaccine rollouts in many states while they blame Trump for it.

I'm a bit steamed at the moment. I just found out today that in my state they're rolling into Phase 1B of the vaccine plan meaning that if my parents lived here, they could sign up for their vaccines as adults over 65 *and* adults at high risk (dad has cardiac issues). But they live in Kansas where the health department hasn't heard a single thing from the state about vaccines. The state is sitting on over 100,000 doses with no clear or firm plan on how they want to prioritize and distribute. They still haven't even finished their first phase.

Many bars and restaurants spent large quantities of money to install air filtration and barriers such that, going to a bar or restaurant is safer than having a gathering at home. So I see her point.

But in the perfect world...people would have avoided gatherings at home (like they were told), when bars and restaurants were also closed and we could have stopped this virus when we had the chance and then there would have been some point to the closings....so congratulations America, your parties and vacations have put small businesses out of business. Stop pointing the finger and take some responsibility.
