The hacker, donk_enby, explained that she only scraped what was publicly available: "I hope that it can be used to hold people accountable and to prevent more death."

Now that Parler is gone, permanently, I know that many of the activists who used that platform have moved to telegram.

It seems that the now defunct Parler did capture a lot of data, complete with EXIF data in images that were posted. This hacker has made the information available to the good guys so hopefully they are able to make even more arrests as it relates to perpetrated or planned violence.

I’m sure there are plants in the new Telegram channels. Also it seems odd moving from a social media platform to just a chat channel... but that’s probably for the hard core seditionists.

This kind of thing happened in the 1930s as well. It just wasn't as technology driven. Better people beat those folks, I'm sure it'll happen again in our time.

I don't think it was planned and the violence was really limited to small groups of people.

Even telegram might be done with that.

Telegram, a Dubai-based chat app that has attracted a surge of new users, including some far-right Trump supporters fleeing purges at other sites, has begun a rare purge of American extremist content.

Parler is gone?

False

They might be.

Parler's CEO said the social-media app may never come back online.

Matze told Reuters he had been in talks with more than one cloud-computing service to discuss hosting Parler. He told The Blaze, a right-leaning outlet founded by Glenn Beck, several vendors had backed out of hosting the app "at the last second" and floated building Parler's "own infrastructure" to get it back online.

Basically they finding a hard time getting someone to do business with them.

‘Might’

And if they don’t, another will take its place. A lot of young people want a social media site to use

And twitter is falling - fast. It’s losing support hand over fist, for obvious reasons. Facebook not far behind

A new giant is sure to emerge

I don’t think you been paying attention the last few days if you think that’s the case.

And no one is going to lend them if they can’t be monetized. As a business they are really screwed.

Go to bed, don’t you have a zoom hosted civics class tomorrow morning? Should pay attention next time you attend.

Sure sure

All social media site will be gone. Is that right?
No social media sites can or will ever be created again? Right?

A new giant will emerge to replace the vacuum of twitter and facebook, they’re failing. Fast.

Which, for some reason, upsets the OP
