Right Wing Call For No Protest

All over social media the last few days I've seen posts from conservative friends and pages to discourage people from any protests and demonstrations on inaguration day.

The reports of Antifa/BLM/outside agitators being the real cause of the chaos at the Capitol reverberate through the social media of the right.

The idea being if the Trumpers and the right wing stay home the only ones showing up will be the leftists/black block/ antifa and they will expose themselves.

Can Conservatives sit on their hands through inaguration day?

Is that a trick tptb are trying to pull to further silence dissent or is it a valid plan to expose the bad actors ?

I've been thinking about this too. I'm actually happy to see this, but I'm not sure what to make of it in the big picture. I appreciate the importance of protesting this inauguration, but I'm not sure it would serve the greater purpose.

I'm pretty darn sure that the real rabble rousers have prepared for this eventuality, as well as any others. One way or another, they'll find a way to make conservatives look bad if that's what they want to do.

Given that this announcement not to attend is being spread widely, I would imagine the progressives will call their pitbulls off for the day. It would serve no purpose. At least, I don't see one.

I'd like to see Trump supporters and conservatives mount a different kind of protest. I'm not sure what or how. If they did so in a way that welcomed everyone -- indies, third parties, even disgusted liberals -- I think it could have a HUGE impact.

I think this is more about the decent republicans and I would say the majority who don’t support violence trying to speak to the minority who are preparing for violence to stand down rather than some set up for antifa.

Conservatives have always been equally snowflakes, just about their own issues. Abortion, corporate tax, the mention of anything socialist, etc..
