U.S. Rep. Cori Bush on Monday filed a resolution calling for the possible expulsion of more than 100 Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives, including five from Missouri, who voted against certifying results of the Nov. 3 election.

The vote against the routine certification, which followed months of false claims of election fraud by President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers including U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, violated the U.S. Constitution and House rules and incited the Jan. 6. attack on the U.S. Capitol, Bush said.

The “purge of Trumpism”, as John Bolton called for, continues as calls for every lawmaker that supported the “stop the steal” motion in congress to be EXPELLED from congress.

To be fair, it was congress that was attacked and congress has every right to manage itself, under the rules it has adopted. This is a discussion that’s in the legislature and of the legislature, and as such, will occur without any external influences, as is the constitutional right of congress.

How likely, given all that’s transpired in the last week, so you think this call for expulsion will be heeded and voted on?

That’d go down well with people who are incredibly disillusioned with and feel disenfranchised by the system. Just throw the opposition out of congress.

Not like that is the sorta thing that happens in corrupt dictatorships. Maduro recently did exactly this, and we all know Maduro’s Venezuela is a beacon of liberty and fair elections.

OK, as long as they expel all the lawmakers who backed the "Russian Collusion" nonsense.

Congress was attacked?
Was anyone hurt, kidnapped?

Rep Waters (D) Objected to Florida's certification of George Bush.

Ms. WATERS. Mr. Speaker, let the RECORD show that on today, Saturday, January 6, I am present on the floor of the House of Representatives prepared to object to the electoral vote count for the State of Florida at the proceedings that will take place at 1 o’clock. Let the R

So did Rep Jackson-Lee (D)

Therefore, at the tallying of the electoral votes, the voice of the voiceless will be heard as I intend to make a formal
objection to the tally on the premise of the self-evident truth that we all are created equal.

www.congress.gov...

Actually, lots of Democrats objected..

www.politico.com...

On this day in 2001, Vice President Al Gore (D) presided over a joint session of Congress that certified Gov. George W. Bush (R) of Texas as the winner of the 2000 election.

Twenty Democratic House members, mostly members of the Congressional Black Caucus, rose to object to the results. However, under an 1877 law, both a representative and a senator must sponsor such objections. When no senator came forward as a co-sponsor, Gore ruled the objections out of order.

The big difference, for me personally.. is that in this instance i was on the Democrats side.. Bush should never have been President and its the same sneaky tactics.. Its the purple club - they were against Trump

Trump supporters tried to OVERTHROW our government. This is what happens. This is serious. And they didn't think it through when they stormed the capitol.

If you support Trump now, you are simply a traitor to the United States of America. And deserve the full force of the government you tried to overthrow.

What, you thought the 80 Million people who voted for Biden were just gonna sit around and let you steal THEIR votes. NO.

No I don’t think so.
If the Republicans were purged from congress it will absolutely stat a war. It would become open season on Democrats. That’s not the way to heal our country. However the Tree of Liberty Must Be Refreshed ‘With the Blood of Patriots and Tyrants’? Jefferson was a smart man.

Such a mad dash to stifle, censor and extinguish support for the sitting president.

And based on all the threads you make cheerleading for the establishment perhaps you can explain how this is in any way constitutional?

P.s. do you speak Chinese?

Pure fantasy.

Typical of Congress. They could be working on better direct stimulus for actual citizens, but they paid their business interests with our tax money and have not a single care for their constituents.

They're too busy LARPing as if they can remove 1/4 of the House. Complete loons, like those that support them.

Yes, good! Expel everyone who disagrees with you or don't fall into line! This worked out so extremely well for the Third Reich. They're basically taking pages from Hitler's and Lenin's playbook!

That is going to be a slippery precedent, don't vote the right way and you are out of a job. Makes perfect sense as China takes over America. It seams to be how they roll in the CCP.

Nah. This is more like a South American or African dictatorship.

In China they don’t even have an opposition party. There is only the one party.

If all it takes is a handful of lunatics and a bunch of old ladies with selfie sticks to overthrow the government then you've got real problems..........or maybe this is more accurate

Was it wrong when the colonist attacked England in Boston? What made it right?

The fact that they didn’t stop until they won and wrote history books. We don’t have that resolve.

It was more about how any dissent is treated in China. Any crimes against the party gets a lot more attention. Bit like Flynn and Stone with the FBI.

As for South America and Africa it sounds about right. You still back there Obama?
