“Beavers are roughly three times larger at approximately 40 pounds, spend the bulk of their time in and near water, and have webbed hind feet and long, flat tails. Woodchucks weigh about 12 pounds, have short tails, stubby legs, and spend most of their time underground.”

We have both on our land. Anyone who has ever seen a beaver, could never mistake a woodchuck for a beaver! That’s like comparing a Lynx to a Cougar!

They look a lot like the big fat dude who lives in a field near us. He's not a beaver though. He's a woodchuck.

Woodchucks have furry, fluffy tails. Check yours out next time...you'll see.

I wish I could post pics here.

Believe what you want.

Look up the Eurasian or European Beaver,.look at their tails and fur. No fluff and fur looks like eagle feathers, because of the underfur for waterproofing. They also don't emerge fully grown from the womb, they could be yearlings. Tails range from broad and short to thin and long.

Now, look up woodchucks, which have fluffy fur, and furry tails.

No comparison, sorry.

Anyway, I'm done arguing about beavers.

Exactly! The woodchucks in the video have small fluffy tails! And no webbed feet! Watch it again!
Here’s a link to European beavers. Pics of both kinds.

Beavers use their big flat tails as rudders when swimming in the water. Also to smack the water to signal danger.

It won’t let me link. Looks like it’s copyrighted. I don’t know how to do a pic here either.

I'd rather argue about beavers than censorship at the moment. At least it's low stakes and it doesn't make me feel like the world is ending.

You have a point there for sure.

I wish we could post pics. Then i'd argue with ya's.

They are so similar it is hard to argue without pics and scale.

The beaver/woodchuck wars....lmao.

Well, the beavers world would be ending, around here anyway.

Their fur is worth good money, when trapping.

I'm guessing the little guys in the video, are working, to literally "save their hides"

LOL
