Freedom Of The Press

This freedom is similar to freedom of speech, in that it allows people to express themselves through publication.

There are certain limits to freedom of the press. False or defamatory statements – called libel – aren’t protected under the First Amendment.

Plenty of false and inflammatory "news" as evidence ... Let the Games Begin !

Doesn't mean anything. Anyone can file a lawsuit.

The goal is to get her to shut up as sometimes people don't want to fight due tot he cost involved. It is no different from slip and fall attorneys sue trying to get a company to settle. Sue for $10 million hoping they settle for $500k to make it go away as it will cost $1 million to defend.

In this case, they figure she may not have the hundreds of thousands or millions to defend herself.

What would be interesting is if she did go to court and then laid out the case... then what?

wishful thinking in my opinion...
but that is the point here...if she cant prove it...she's in trouble

Good. Bring on the discovery!!!

Oh wait... that would be... like... too good to be true. Because then we would know the truth.

Yeah, I don't see this going anywhere. At some point, if Powell doesn't have the resources (or the will) to fight it, she'll settle, signing the obligatory nondisclosure and nondisparagement agreements, make a formal statement denying any proof of wrongdoing, maybe apologize, and it will be over.

Her cards?

Really dude?

If she actually had evidence, it would have been used to help Mr. Trump before he did something stupid like provoking a mob to storm the Capitol.

Keep grasping for straws.

While I am not a fan of a sue happy society, sometimes it is justified.

If the courts are compromised and won't hear the case, the evidence doesn't matter. Not sure why you have a hard time getting this through your thick skull.

She could have a recorded zoom call with Pelosi, Schumer, and the rest of the gang plotting with Dominion... it won't matter if court won't hear the case. Heck, all summer, we had Joe Biden on stage saying "Son of a Bitch... I got prosecutor fired" in an obvious attempt to protect his son from investigation in Ukraine and you lefties still think there is "no evidence."

Dominion is being represented by the best law firm in the nation when it comes to defamation cases. Defamation cases are notoriously hard to win, they wouldn’t have filed this if they weren’t 100% sure that they will win or at least get a retraction from her. At this point I don’t think they are interested in a retraction.

compromised courts??? Trump-appointed judges in many cases INCLUDING his personal SCOTUS. So EVERYONE is compromised and lying EXCEPT Trump. Yea, sounds entirely reasonable.

She'd be 0 for everything still.

0 for everything in front of judges that could be compromised.
They should be careful what they wish for, this could be part of her entire plan.

Jesus Jumping Christ, what has happened in the last 4 years that makes you guys believe everyone in the Trump umbrella has this never ending deck of cards up their sleeves? Seriously?

What traps did Trump set and magically pull a trick out of his sleeve and had some great victory? Just name one.

There is no f*cking 3D chess, there’s no back door plans to set oneself of for failure so they sneak in another way, it’s all been bulls*t, mainly hyped up by YOU GUYS on this forum.

I TOTALLY understand commitment and wanting your guy to win, I understand this is a conspiracy site, but man, there’s not been a single case of anyone surrounding Trump pulling some hidden hand out from their sleeve and laying the smack down.

You wonder why you guys are getting laughed at, THIS is why.

They gave her time to do a retraction (as is required by the Court). She demurred. So now she gets to play REAL lawyer.

Narrative problem

Are these people being taken to task by Dominion ?

Democratic senators warned of potential 'vote switching' by Dominion voting machines prior to 2020 election

Four congressional Democrats sent a letter to the owners of Dominion Voting Systems and cited several problems that “threaten the integrity of our elections,” including “vote switching.”

In a December 2019 letter to Dominion Voting Systems, which has been mired in controversy after a human error involving its machines in Antrim County, Michigan, resulted in incorrect counts, Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Ron Wyden, and Amy Klobuchar and congressman Mark Pocan warned about reports of machines “switching votes,” “undisclosed vulnerabilities,” and “improbable” results that “threaten the integrity of our elections.”

Nope a cult doesn’t allow for independent thought, they certainly don’t encourage Questioning everything , including the source itself.

Why do you assume that everyone Trump appointed has his back? Heck, half the Republican party didn't even want him as President to begin with and are happy he is gone.

And no, I am not saying Trump is infallible. He very well may be wrong on many things.

I am just pointing out to you that just because a court won't hear a case or even rules against a case, it DOES NOT mean the case doesn't have merit. Courts do all kinds of dumb sh*t. Do we really need to start bringing up examples? of poor rulings, ignoring cases, and other judicial malfeasance?

All I am saying is that a powerful company like Dominion could just be trying to turn the screws on her to break her financially. They may know she has something but forcing her into court cost a ton of money and at the end of the day, particularly given what happened at the capital, she may be too radioactive to get enough financial support.
