Everybody, watch it. It is shocking. Those poor children too.

SNP are disgusting.

The Totalitarian-Tiptoe™ is alive and well in 2021.

Slowly eating away at our supposed 'rights', until the day it's too late, and we will all see that the erosion has left up indentured servants, and none will be able to doubt.

We have seen the trend to those omnibus-bills, where they sneak-in all kinds of crap that benefits nobody but the oligarchs.

Perhaps bring us to the point, that we'll be begging to go-off to Jonestown type scenarios, and just party for a few days, then let our useless bodies expire...

So here's a beverage for you all, and let's party like it's 1999.

Anyone who thinks this is acceptable behaviour by police or government is very ill in the head.

Some classics in this thread....gave me a laugh reading it, thanks guys.

Better watch out, ATS's very own SNP thought police will be along shortly to turn this into a thread about Scottish independence....however, you do sound rather alarmed, agitated and prone to hyperbole.....are you drugged up or something?

The UK police seems to be the most obedient.

while others argued they were just trying to enforce the Covid rules.

No one tells me what I do at home and with whom. These "others" arguing it's just enforcing Covid rules and the ones who felt so threatened by someone in a different house... best governmental lab dogs ever.

These are the same ones that protest in Berlin so the schools stay locked down and fear their own kids. Appaling.

Its a new day. The Constitutional protections you used to count on that all Americans held dear are no longer being respected. They are removing our freedoms.

Only if you let them remove those freedoms, for example by writing this sad post where you lay on your back and gave up.

When you accept your fate, you gave up and already lost.

Nope, just busy, busy with work non stop for few days. Which is great really.

I admit that I messed up a few posts. Sorry about that. I was quoting someone else's post, but it ended up looking like my post.

I am happy. I don't do drugs, alcohol or Cigs of any sort. I just wish I had 2 pairs of hands at the moment.

BUT THANKS FOR YOUR CONCERN and Happy New Year to you.

Care to go into detail and give me examples of me being any of the following?...

""however, you do sound rather alarmed, agitated and prone to hyperbole.....are you drugged up or something?""

You sound sad and bitter in that post. Have you never been busy, popped on to ATS, made a reply but hit the wrong key? Now I am being accused of being drugged up.

Sounds more likely you are.

...You sound sad and bitter in that post.

Sad and bitter?

Au contraire, I said I'd been laughing.....and quite remarkably I had been.

Have you never been busy, popped on to ATS, made a reply but hit the wrong key?

Not that I recall, but I guess could well have done....I've made a complete arse of myself many times though if that helps.

Now I am being accused of being drugged up.

You replied to a post and agreed with someone who said that a member was 'drugged up or something'....it was a reference to that, pretty straight forward I thought.
If I've offended your obviously hyper-sensitive nature then I apologise.

I don't do drugs, alcohol or Cigs of any sort.

Perhaps you should consider doing so.

I just wish I had 2 pairs of hands at the moment.

That's two of us....I know exactly how you feel there.

Sounds more likely you are.

Ha ha ha.

My post that seems to have got you hot under the collar was directed at some of our Scottish brethren here on ATS who seek to turn every single thread they contribute to into one about Scottish independence.
Fortunately there are lots of others who don't.

And it was a bit of banter - granted, pretty crap banter - something some members engage in quite frequently.
Its a bit of light relief from the doom and gloom that has inundated this site the last few years.

Well we seem to agree on a few things.

I am no fan of SNP, Sturgeon and her minions.

"pretty crap banter - something some members engage in quite frequently".

Indeed. However...Never lower yourself to others standards.

I also won't be taking up Drugs and booze any time soon. I make Aromatherapy products. When working with large batch amounts right under your nose, you can get a bit "drunk" on the fumes.

I'm a lightweight.

Keep laughing, best medicine there is.

Yet still I fear you don't quite 'get me'.

Absolutely no time for her or her politics....but it has to be said, she's managed this pandemic better than Boris and his crew.

Here we are....you see, I'm one of those members who engages in and enjoys a bit of craic and banter.
Often with people who I don't always agree with.
It sort of reflects real life a little bit, can be amusing and helps build relationships.....some of which have become dare I say it....friendships.

I also won't be taking up Drugs and booze any time soon.

T&C prevent me from saying too much.
Each to their own and who is one man to judge another and tell him what choices he can or can not make?
A discussion for another time and place methinks.

I make Aromatherapy products. When working with large batch amounts right under your nose, you can get a bit "drunk" on the fumes.

Sounds soothing and relaxing.
I'd be a workaholic.

Keep laughing, best medicine there is.

It most certainly is.

Maybe. But when it comes to serious pain relief diamorphine wins every time.

A clinical Aromatherapist is a Complementary, definately not an Alternative Practitioner.

My experience within Palliative care, AIDS/HIV clients already have lots of, cocktails of heavy Meds. Also a compromised immune system.

Essential oils and massage are extremely beneficial in handling pain, and are deeply relaxing, and reduces stress, boosting the immune system.

Anything that is natural, has no side effects and helps avoid overuse of pain meds is surely a plus.

Ah Freeborn. I almost gave you a star there..

Then I saw your Nicola S doing a good job remark.

Lets swap places for a year, you might change your mind.

Yes, there are things I wont say either.

There was no judgement in the remark on booze etc. Just don't personally have any need for it, as with all my female family members, as I can be funny and happy without fortunately.

But yet again you didn't quite get it.

I said Nicola Sturgeon has been doing a better job than Boris Johnson.
That wasn't meant as a glowing endorsement of Wee Jimmy but rather a damning indictment of Boris the oaf - a massive difference.
