Oh yeah, I'm sure that's it. She's not a "real" Republican.

“I believe in a few elections, we’re still going to be losing unless we win the hearts and minds of our children. This is the battle. Hitler was right on one thing. He said, ‘Whoever has the youth has the future."

American politics might have jumped the shark with Mary Miller.

She was right... maybe a poor choice of words, but right.

Children sill be educated. Education can be in the form of truth, or propaganda.

We should be endeavoring to completely change the current propaganda machine that is the public school system, and start educating children. Teach them truth and critical thinking skills, not propaganda.

So a Republican politician quotes Hitler...

What is so shocking about that?

We here on the left have been likening the Trump movement to the early rumblings of the National socialist party in its early years in Germany for quite some time now.

Nothing surprising here.

You would think she would have the brains to know, whether the quote has value or not.. whether its true or not.. quoting Hitler and saying he was right in any context...

Is really really dumb

Which again...
Par for the course

She wasn't right. She was saying the republicans should propagandize children, like Hitler did. That's wrong. It's wrong no matter who does it.

I agree that children should be taught the truth, and critical thinking skills, but that's not what she was saying. If the U.S. focused on real non-partisan and factual education, both political parties would crumble in a generation.

Oh stop. The DNC and the rest of the left have been just as culpable and complicit.

What did Hitler do to those who 'hated' traditional Germanic values?

Just like life long republicans would never vandalize and forcibly enter a federal building?

Not sure why the fake outrage. Hitler wasn't wrong!

so, is brain washing children all right in your book?

that's the point the OP is making.

That’s the truth of it. US Childers have been getting brainwashed for years and all they got was disgruntled, indebted and a useless degree in dumbassery.

Actually that philosophy goes back thousands of years, it is even evident in the old testament writings. It has been employed by almost every country for a long time. It is the reason that they mandated school, it is a part of social conditioning in America. The fact that Hitler was mentioned is a stupid blunder of hers, she could have cited many other societies or countries in the world. Maybe she was thinking of Gretchen Whitmer at the time or something.

Hitler was wrong!!

And that’s why people never learn!

Hitler was an evil asshat but he was not tactically wrong.

If he was wrong in his strategic theory Europe wouldn’t have needed the Yanks to stop him.

Stop sweeping everything the man said under the rug.

Learn from it so it never happens again.

Very well said. You have a gift of articulation!

Hitler was evil. We all agree. Hitler was wrong. We all agree, but he wasn't always incorrect. Winning the hearts and minds of our youth IS a winning strategy.

Clearly it is. All the leftist ideology pushed on our youth from every direction imaginable has brought about a leftist tsunami of young people.

Mary Miller referenced Hitler, but the left has been playing Hitler... or Stalin.

So then you agree that the propagandizing and indoctrination of children and young adults, performed by democrats/liberals/progressives for the last 40/50 years to produce almost brain dead adults that can't even do one thing right is in actual fact, wrong. Correct? If that is the case and you agree that it's wrong, if you are a democrat/liberal/progressive, why are you still one? That would be hypocrisy, right?

As to your other question, after the loss of the first world war and the collapse of the Weimar Republic via Hyperinflation from 1918 to 1923 Germany needed to recreate itself. Of course this was followed by the worldwide depression of 1929 onward, Germany along with almost every other developed nation on the planet went bankrupt. The Rothschilds wanted to institute changes to the German currency system that would have enslaved Germany, just as they have done with every other industrialized nation from 1932 to 1934. Hitler decided that since the armistice would be up in 8 or 9 years, he would literally pull Germany out of the depression by its bootstraps through industrialization and focus the people on recovering lost territory through national unity. Even through his megalomania, psychosis and probable insanity (because of his micro-penis, it's documented), he did pull Germany out of the depression, just at great cost. Sometimes things can be done the wrong way for the right reasons.

I am not saying I support him or what he did, but even a broken clock can be right twice a day ;-)

Cheers - Dave

Then puberty hits and all that brain washing goes out the window. Ironically enough, Nazis actually had their youth shag an reproduce as much as they could too.

And at age 13 being the legal age limit for idk, thousands of years, see what he did there!

But arting is such sweet sorrow...
