It looks like all the senators have bailed on co-signing the objections. Georgia, Michigan, and Nevada just passed.

The occurrences of today (attempted coup) were eye opening for some I'd say. They don't want to end up on the wrong side of history. Make no mistake, DJT will likely be prosecuted down the track for inciting insurrection. People don't want to go down with him, they have political careers to think about.

Yep.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) released a blistering critique of Trump, saying the day’s events were the result of a “selfish man’s injured pride and the outrage of his supporters whom he has deliberately misinformed for the past two months and stirred to action this very morning. What happened here today was an insurrection, incited by the President of the United States.”

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who called it a “coup attempt,” tweeted directly to Trump: “You are not protecting the country. Where is the DC guard? You are done and your legacy will be a disaster.”

Former congressman Will Hurd (R-Tex.), who retired last year over his frustrations with Trump’s takeover of the party, called the storming of the Capitol an act of “domestic terrorism.”

“This should be treated as a coup led by a president that will not be peacefully removed from power,” Hurd tweeted.

Thats ridiculous. The protesters acted on their own will. Nobody commanded them. Trump suggested they march down to the Capital, not storm it.

The language used by these people are ridiculous and tips you off to who are the 'Insiders' and who are not.

Ted Cruz MIA = twitter.com...

Either he gave up voluntarily, or did so at the request of President Trump, who may be about to unleash that which he wanted to avoid unleashing.

Unbelievable that Representatives and a Senator are still objecting the vote after what happened today. They will be remembered as supporters of a sedition based on lies of voter fraud.

2 months and not a shred of evidence bro support Trump's claims of voter fraud!

Someone posted previously that if Trump shot a kid in the face, his worshippers would make excuses for him, and here we have it for real. Yeah, Trump held a rally, wound up his supporters and set them off in the direction of the Capitol seething with a sense of rage and injustice to “act on their own will” and bears no responsibility.

Backsliding at its most transparent.

Its actually worse than voter fraud - government representatives as well as the Supreme Court broke the law !

So like Gov't is complicit in the fraud on top of that ! Are you listening ?!

How?

Give an example of voter fraud that can hold up in the court of law!

Basically you fell for a con man's lie, someone clinging to power that refused to accept defeat.

While futile to remind you, each state audits their vote, does recounts if deemed necessary, and actually investigates fraud claims before certifying the vote. Yet that is not enough for some....

This whole debacle could have been prevented if Trump was man enough to accept defeat...

Each sovereign state is bound by the Constitution.

According to many senator's testimony: You cannot accept votes after a set time by the law.

I believe it was the case that the supreme court allowed a 3 day extension, however the only people that can amend the law is legislature, not the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is not legislature that can change the law.

In addition to that: 1) They allowed votes that had no signatures, 2) They allowed votes without postmark or disregarded postmark.

(That is the extent of what I know from what I heard in this hearing.)

You are confusing counting votes after a certain deadline versus voting after the deadline. For example, military votes from overseas often do not get to the polls until after election even though they were sent out before the election. Obviously they still should count, the same goes for votes sent by mail before the deadline.

What team Trump hoped to do was invalidate most mail in votes through a loophole. This would have given Trump the 'win' though a fraudulent one since million and millions of votes would have been thrown out.

The irony though.

Congratulations to President elect Joe Biden!
