Visible

This morning after my nightshift I did some shopping at a local Tescos.

After I paid for it, the boy who was allocated to the self check out section took the plastic metal thing off the top of a litre bottle of whisky I had just bought.

Beaming with corporate joy, he wished me a nice day and expressed the hope that I would enjoy the whisky.

I used to be invisible. Why am I not invisible anymore?

He lost his job at Wetherspoons in the lockdown.

Why were you paying if you thought you were invisible? He's still willing to please but he's working with people so it'll only take him a few days to not see you anymore.

quick question, were you going "back" to the liquor store after work, or was the your first trip of the evening?
