I’m going on 11 years here soon crazy we have a community like this, I recognize names here written like I would be hearing them called out like back in school sometimes.

I look back on some of my threads/posts from when I was 16 ten years ago and cringe

Not sure if they say it in the army but in the marines it’s kind of common place “through pain comes discipline”

So do tell, what have you learned here?

Did you learn why the letter 'U' doesn't follow the letter 'Q' in the alphabet, but yet it does without exception in the English language? So, what really is the conspiracy with the letters 'R', 'S' and 'T'?

Did you learn if the "magic bullet" was real, and if there really was only one shooter?

Did you learn not to believe the conspiracy theories about the world being round, when it is clearly flat?

Did you learn that it's really the aliens who run Area 51, and they keep the real humans inside in captivity?

Just prideful and surprisingly ignorant...

Glad I'm not the only one that separates what happens in the Mudpit from everywhere else.

Politics exposes our blind spots. Sometimes it is best to compartmentalize interactions here. Especially since many of these discussions are being had by the same people over and over again.

There are 3 people that I would not extend courtesy to on ATS. Those 3 people know who they are.

Everyone else is granted the grace I would hope to have granted to me.

My 10 year will be on the 24th this month. Congrats. This place has changed a lot over the years. I don't really participate any more. I don't really even lurk. Its more of an afterthought these days to see what folks on ATS have to say. Unfortunately it looks like ignorance has won for now. Good luck to you.
