Random Shooting at Illinois Bowling Alley

Three people are dead and at least three others injured after a person opened fire at random in a bowling alley in Rockford, Illinois, on Saturday evening.

The shooting took place at Don Carter Lanes just before 7 p.m. local time, according to the Rockford Police Department.

Police said a person of interest has been taken into custody.

This appears to be a random shooting.
Is this in any way related to Nashville, or just crazy stuff going down.
Either way, everyone seems on edge and I have a sinking feeling we are going
to see more of these things in the coming months.

Random shootings or not, they happen daily. Christmas Eve there were 33 shootings in Los Angeles in 2 hours. I was watching a vlog live stream that was live streaming the Los Angeles police dispatch radio at the time. 33 in 2 hours....
6 domestic
3 car jackings
4 drunken disorderly conduct

I read the article you linked. It's the time of the year when there are people being layed off, can't put gas in the car, go to the store to put food on the table. Desperate time of of year, every year sadly.

Edit: suicides are also very high during the holidays especially.

This shooting was random and targeted more than one person. Three killed and three possibly more injured
doesn't seem like your run of the mill type of shooting or gang violence.
We hear every day about shootings in Milwaukee and general crime. This struck me as different.

I wanna go bowling. I have money for shoes and I could
bring friends with money and drink beer. Did this bowling
alley just open up so they could have a shooting? I wish
the bowling alleys in So. Cal would open up for shootings so
we could get a couple games in damn it. Sh#t ain't fair
these days at all.

I'm sorry for the families of those that were shot, it's a really bad time to happen during the Christmas holidays like this. The event will forever taint their memories at this time each year and make them sad. I'm glad it happened up in Northern Illinois. Keep that violence away from us here in Southern Illinois.

Occam would say that its just another crime carried out by another waste of flesh criminal .

Duke Webb of Shalimar, Florida, who is an active U.S. Army member, is being held in the Winnebago County Jail without bond. He's scheduled to make his first court appearance at 1:30 p.m. Monday. He is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.

I knew from the start it didn't seem right, not that any shooting is right, but something was off about this one....

My guess: Drug related, with an extra dose of 'nobody snitching'.

Rockford is a trashy town. I would have bet on gang violence, but I see that this one was different so other were right on the money. I'm not surprised, actually; people are at the ends of their ropes given the Covid situation and all.
