Remember years ago with a search engine you could ask it a question and it would answer you directly for example if you asked it 'how do you change the front shocks on a 76 F150 ?,you would get pages of technical information and DIY videos. Now you get pages and pages of advertising of companies trying to sell you a shock absorber rather than answer the question, you have to sift through pages and pages until you find technical ifo now.

Another annoying thing is Google is now psychic, you start typing in something and it takes over with what it thinks you are going to ask and sends you there.Or worse you search for something then get inundated by adds for that something for a week.

A good feature of some other search engines back in the day was,'show me more like these',so if you had looked up Toyota you could then bring up all its competitors for comparison.

You tube was once a great place now its a cesspit of woke individuals who not only have their own whinges but also have to dream up what might offend other people and censor that too.Forums, social media and the internet in general now seems to be censored by AI and that AI heavily favours the left, for example go to Sky News Australia a supposed right wing site and say something negative about the CCP,vaccines or many other topics and watch it get deleted.

Free speech no longer exists on the net and Im not talking libel, slander, bullying or national secrets but everyday topics.

I have tossed my mobile phone and my laptop is increasingly for business only, through micro-management they have killed the golden goose to the point Im becoming a luddite, technology serves you not the other way round...and thats where the world is headed.

Yep. Searching for something specific is getting harder and harder to accomplish. Back in the day I used Webcrawler and Alta Vista and could find just about anything I wanted. Now it's like sorting through a dumpster to find anything. It sucks.

They're still around.
Kids these days can't find them, so they're the last of the good internet users.

Stop using the googs, it's all filtered
Try DuckDuckGo instead
You'll be amazed at how all of a sudden your conspiracy topic searches show results
and it becomes immediately apparent how bogged the googs is with crap to bury what you seek
For example, try googsing the phrase 'Gates says black people and indigenous should get vaccine first'
You likely won't find the interview on video anywhere and it'll all be news site links and disclaimers and thought police fact checkers
Then try the ducks and see the page flood with video and links with a sprinkle of the aforementioned garbage
Our last weapon against the dragon of tyranny in the form of a heartlessly corporatized and politicized world is the web
...and they're eliminating that pawn from their chessboard as soon as they can

Nothing has changed on the internet other than those who allow the Corporatocracy to direct them to the information THEY want to feed you and the censorship the CORPORATIONS force upon you. Who creates the laws in regards to speech? Most will say the government, yet in reality it is big tech and they have so much money they tell our elected officials to shut up and be their bitch!

Blame the prostitutes that call themselves Congresscritters and Senatwhorse!

The internet was a sick joke, compared to what it is now.

Movies the size of postage stamps that took hours to download.

Should I go on about destroying a download because someone called you.

There for about a year, somewhere between the start of it and now, the internet was perfect.

Dick Gregory said 'if you dont understand the words, you cannot speak the language' - language, below- please do your own research

If it is related to any of these; it may be a good idea to look/site/vet elsewhere. Adam is correct, go duck or go home; the googs is on the take;

As of September 2020, the 6 media giants are ATT (bought Time Warner), CBS, Comcast, Disney, News Corp (the parent company of Fox News), and Viacom. Below is another infographic created by folks at WebFX. It shows the Big 6, who controls them, and what they own.Sep 18, 2020

Why are you using Google?

Just use a different engine like Startpage, or one of the many others like DDG, etc.

I have about 1500 dvd's and have never really downloaded anything so Pornhub download times aren't really important to me LOL,the main reason I dont download is that if you loose your motherboard which can happen for example if you get a power outage during a windows update you loose the lot whereas a DVD lasts a long time
