Brand new strain of covid found in South Africa. Extremely contagious

Matt Hancock (UK) has just announced on TV that a new strain has been found.

Supposedly this is even more contagious then the new strain found in the UK and is 'deeply concerning' and it has already spread here to the UK.

Does not sound good at all. Whatever side of the fence you sit on in regards to covid I couldn't care less, this # is starting to scare me now, I have elderly relatives with respiratory conditions as it is

Hancock just came on live TV. He's on now.

So, it mutated and now it's spreading quickly again, that is normal for viruses. Is it any more deadly than the regular Covid 19?

Anyone else find it convenient that all of these stories of mutations start happening soon after a vaccine is created and there is a little bit of hope to get back to normal.

One more thing to help propagate fear and “justify” lockdowns and government control

Yes it is. That is why here in the UK we are taking it seriously. It's why we are taking these steps to stop it getting out of control.

Unfortunately that seems to be what is happening.

Source? And also it doesn’t matter.... virus’s main purpose; is to become more contagious and LESS lethal!

I think they'd already know themselves if they we're already in hospital before contracting it. Which is currently more often than not the case.
