That is what is so incredulous about this whole thing. This fundraiser helps all kids.

Frankly when it comes to kids and cancer, it's not even really an economics issue.

A child with cancer is one sad and tragic thing no matter who their parents happened to be.

This whole, rich/poor, white/black crap should be tossed out the window: KID. CANCER. Those are really only the two factors we should care about in all of it. Kids are too young to get cancer. It just shouldn't be allowed to happen to them, and do you think it hurts them or their parents any less if they *can* afford to pay for treatment over if they can't?

Allowing BLM to get away with this type thing should start to really move them into the same column with Westboro Baptist when they started protesting funerals for gay people and soldiers. Whatever you think of either one, it's no denying that at a funeral the loved ones should be respected and allowed to mourn in peace without a bunch of hateful people messing things up.

This is starting approach that level.

Perhaps, but as far as i am aware the WBC never burned down a city, set fire to a home for terminally ill children or murdered anyone. BLM has them beat.

Some are violent and cause chaos.
Some are non violent and want true change for their communities.

I will say, I watched a decent chunk of streamers out in various cities this year. There were peaceful, non-violent BLM protests I watched. They were holding signs, chanting slogans, and had various megaphone-equipped "speakers" who were IMO emotive, factually challenged, firebrands who skirted the boarder of incitement, but they are constitutionally allowed the right of peaceful assembly and free speech.

Nobody, as far as I'm aware, is bothered by this or should have a problem with it, as long as the protestors aren't blocking highways, interfering with emergency vehicles, or as I saw numerous times, preventing their own community members/"people" from getting to work.

The smashing of outdoor dining facilities, defacement of property, breaking windows, trapping motorists, intimidating and forcing bystanders to chant with them, burning stuff, targeting groups of pedestrians for verbal harassment and abuse based on race/social status, none of that is or should be OK. There should've been mass roundups of people doing this stuff during the spring/summer of 2020. The clear political motivation to restrain police from interceding in mob mayhem was evident, as was to me that at times the police were out resourced/out maneuvered/out muscled by the sheer volumes of the crowds.

Just wait until the inevitable police shootings in 2021 (which of course happen every year based on the probabilities and numbers game of police interacting with suspects thousands of times every day; some N of those thousands of encounters will go bad). The tone and strategy that the new administration will take on this will be night and day from 2020.

It's going to be interesting.

All I know is in Wisconsin they allowed riots to get crazy and the Kyle Rittenhouse incident happen.
Several weeks later a similar incident further north happened and they immediately arrested everyone and nothing happened. It just went away.

I can't find the article but just the other day the people arrested for that want their records scrubbed but it doesn't appear that his happening.

What will 2021 bring? Of course some people will still try to riot, I don't think it will be so tolerated anymore.
Again, we aren't talking protests, we are talking people doing actual damages, staying out past curfew etc..
