To my cousins across to pond. Just say no. Say it in mass and with a loud and clear voice.

I think many of them already do that but it's no good shouting "me me me!".

Here we go again. Absolute joke. At the eleventh hour families looking forward to spending time together will have their hopes dashed.

Remember; all for a virus so deadly you need a test to confirm you have it.

A virus that 99.5% of the world will not be bothered by.

At this point I have no words

You find it funny?

I have family in Kent and London.

We are not laughing. The new variant is 70% more transmissible. New data fresh out. Infection is skyrocketing. In London and SE England.

I hope you folk wake up and take this seriously.

For all his faults, and he has many, this is the last thing Boris wanted to have to do.

Please stop with the denial and the sneering.

Viruses mutate. The more it spreads the more chance of it mutating. God forbid it should happen to the US. Please take this seriously.

No laughing here, just absolute despair with the whole situation.

The figures dont lie, the majority don’t even show symptoms. Stay hidden away forever if you want. I would sooner get on with my life and take my chances with something with such a low mortality rate.

70% more transmit-able maybe, same survival rate though..

We are only here for a short time as it is

The vaccine just reduces symptoms, or stops the recipient from feeling sick.

There is no guarantee it will stop the recipient from spreading the virus.

So I don't know how the vaccine is going to help that much.

Scientists involved in oversight of the Operation Warp Speed COVID-19 vaccine trials are tempering excitement about efficacy, noting that the studies haven't shown yet whether the products can prevent transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

No. Please educate yourself about vaccines and how they work.

I'm awake.
And I do take this seriously.
I'm seriously concerned that people are actually buying into this total fraud.

WAKE UP!

It's not all about you. Over here we like to act responsibly and with consideration for others.

Especially the elderly, those with existing conditions, compromised immune systems etc.

We can do without selfish idiots at the moment.

Fraud? Wake up?

How dare you.

This is looking bad.

Wake up yourself. You are sleepwalking into a very real nightmare.

Unlike our American friends who still live in some kind of archaic western movie, we have strong leadership here and believe in our government 100% thank you very much.

Over here many have faith in the media.
government - media, i don't see a difference.
Both are out to control us like little chess pieces.

People in the at risk groups should isolate, everyone else that wants to get on their life should do so. That's where I am with it.

Whilst I agree, i have a vulnerable Nan myself, are you suggesting the overwhelming majority of the population give up their lives, businesses, livelihoods etc. In order to protect a minority?

Absolute economic and social ruin for a minute proportion of the population?

My sentiments from the very beginning.

Yeah, just let infections rip, eh? And mutations.

I prefer to rely on informed medical advice and latest data which we are getting plenty of.

Maybe Boris Johnson should lock himself away instead of the country. I personally see much benefit to that arrangement. What a fraud.

At least his approval rating has dropped from 66% to 34% in under a year. Might not be PM for much longer, especially given the brewing disatisfaction from the tory backbenchers.

I got my last grandfather to put 6 feet under on Monday.

He died from lockdown restrictions keeping nurses out of the covid wing unless for food and one daily check up.

Don't pull your #ing high ground BS.

He spent Thanksgiving isolated, he died without his wife whose been by his side for 30+ years.

Edit: He didn't get covid until after he broke his hip and had to be hospitalized. Was just after having a rod put in.
