But the rest of the world isn't claiming the # of cases nor the # of deaths the USA is. So they don't necessarily have to be "in on it". It's clearly possible for the USA alone to overstate cases and deaths attributed to COVID19.

I'm not sure if I'm honest, i imagine the problem is there have been various trials of Hydroxychloroquine across the globe.

And they don't seem to say or show findings that support the use of the drug where COVID 19 is concerned.

Maybe a witch doctor in an actual field for all we know.

At the time of his endorsement, there was no medication known to treat covid. What is wrong with the president of the United states giving people hope instead of doom and gloom. Lots of doctors worldwide still use this in treatment with positive effects on their patients, but it is not a miracle cure. The method of action of hydroxychloraquine is the basis of some meds used in treating covid 19 presently, and at the time Trump said that, Even Who was saying it was a decent treatment for Covid which they later also said it did no harm if pre-testing of stuff like heart Q waves was done but from tests said it did not make much difference. Who also came out and said remdesivor doesn't work well, but in other testing which they did not accept it shows it does work under limited circumstances...but not every case.

So, you must like the president spreading doom and gloom instead of hope I see.

I do know this virus is a major concern, but also know doctors have been finding and sharing strategies that work with it and are reducing cases, one of the elements is Vitamin D....But now WHO says Vitamin D is a waste of time for covid patients since they did not think of it. I read the new research articles on this every single day at multiple medical Journal sites. Along with information on many other diseases, but Covid right now is dominating the medical research.

Of the deaths they say are caused by covid, I don't believe even as much as a third of them are actually contributed to by covid. I know doctors and people working in hospitals, yes there are covid cases but they say that most of the people who died from covid were very sick with other diseases or conditions, one being age, and anything they cought could have killed them, or many were past due to die but the covid sped their relief from their disease. Yes Covid does directly or lead to some of these people's deaths, but heart attacks some of them had or congestive heart failure from longterm known problems killed them....the covid, like the flu or a cold, sure did not help, but did not cause their death.

There are a lot of medicines people are taking, many for prevention....prediabetes and Cholesterol or stomach acid meds, that increase the risk considerably, but the medical industry is not mentioning those as increasing risk. No...Covid killeed the people, not the meds they were on which many are not actually needed. Many could have been stopped while this risk was out there. This information is in medical journal research but nobody puts this on the news so regular people...not OCD people who study medical research like me...can find them. In fact, the medical industry seems to be funding special paramaterized research to say that some of these meds make less people die from severe cases when in fact, if they weren't taking them their immune systems might detect them and they would never have to go to the hospital in the first place because they would have a mild case. Research can be created to say what the ones funding the research want it to say...it happens a lot, half of the medical research is twisted as much as MSM twists politics.

So what’s everyone’s hot take in this issue now? Is it good? Is it’s bad? Did they lie to you again when there was a cheap and readily available solution?
I seen many people get on soap boxes and proclaim how dangerous the drug Is and how it should be banned both on here and other media.

So what do you all think? My take is yes this whole pandemic is engineered to be as bad as possible(or appear far worse then reality) with real help stone walled, fake feel good help is made into law.

Why did the media attack this drug so vigorously?

Medicine/doctors in general do not stray from the book, they have a hard time advocating medicines, that could have side effects, for illnesses unfamiliar. Things untested, no clinical trials..not going toi get much traction. Of course there will always be doctors more willing to experiment.

Trumps biggest fault is he didn't fire all the governors take charge and be a leader. Is that what you're saying?

After every State ran their own individual pandemic response it pretty easy to blame Trump for not doing something that no matter what he did would have been shouted down and ridiculed.

For your argument to work you have to show that every governor follow everything Trump said to do.

If any governor took control i.e. putting infected people into Care homes or Locking Down the state
then the deaths in that state go to them and not to Trump.

So which is it
strong governors taking charge and standing up to Trump and now accepting responsibility for their actions.
Or
weak governors whining that they weren't told what to do, so they guessed, and now can't accept responsibility for their actions?

I am sixty five years old and I have seen many speeches by many presidents. They all fib all the time. If you hear the truth in a speech by the president, you must be watching a president of a different country talking....wait, I take that back, they all feed us BS. Assuring the public that the government was taking care of stuff is the job of the president.

Maybe you never paid attention to their speeches and checked out the validity. Biden lies all the time, Obama did not lie nearly as much as Biden has been lying. Politicians lie, they tell people what they want to hear, they give them false hopes all the time, they reassure them the economy is doing good when it is terrible. Wake up already, haven't you been paying attention in all the time you have been on ATS?

Yes, presidents lie. I noticed that. On this we agree. Biden's blatant lying scuppered his previous presidential campaign and should have been the end of his political career.

But we won't get leaders any better than we deserve by defending their BS.

There are decent respected leaders in other countries.

Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand (26 deaths from covid), Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland (10 deaths from covid, no lockdowns), Tsai Ing-wen, Prime Minister of Tiawan (7 deaths from covid, no lockdowns).

Three democracies with three poplular and trusted female leaders who have been phenomenally successful in managing the pandemic.

Shouldn't we demand the same, instead of making excuses for Trump?
