Do you want a trophy for liking Bourbon or something?

Yes, and make sure it's filled with Bourbon or an actual bottle of Bourbon.

The best way to enjoy bourbon is to leave it in the bottle...

12oz portabella mushrooms chopped
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder

Saute till mushrooms have reduced.

Add 1/4 cup flour and stir it together for a roux.

Add
16 oz chicken broth
4 oz heavy cream
Bring to light boil.
Salt to taste.

It beats anything Campbell's ever produced

I think you (maybe?) actually gave me this recipe in an old post and I've made it tons of times since then!

Lamb mince
garlic
Caramelized onion
Chopped tomatoes
Curry powder (any you like)
Salt
Pepper
A little Coriander if it doesn't taste like soap to you (It does me so I never use it)

Mix and make into burger patties, top with Swiss cheese (My choice)

Lovely easy Lamb burgers! I eat them all the time.

Bourbon on the Rocks:
  • Large rocks glass
  • 3 ounces good Bourbon
  • 3 ounces ice

Pour Bourbon into rocks glass. Throw away ice. Enjoy. Repeat as necessary.

Thats not even a recipe. You're just a guy pouring something into a glass. Do you want a trophy for liking Bourbon or something?

It’s a juxtaposition! Manipulating ingredients to attain the desired result. Is the bourbon poured or is it poured bourbon?

Toasted piece of sour dough bread, raw garlic rubbed on top, half a ripe tomato rubbed on top until the top layer is a bit saturated. Bit of sea salt or a slice of prosciutto.

In a pinch for time:

Hamburger patties, red onion. Barbecue sauce in a crockpot.

I would throw this in the crockpot In between jobs when my son was younger. He still loves it!

Make some spaghetti, meanwhile whisk a couple eggs (two or three) with some Parmesan (however much cheese you like), add in some crumbled bacon.

Toss the egg mix in with the drained spaghetti over low heat and toss until the egg starts to curdle a bit and the cheese melts.

Voila! Bootleg carbonara.

Mezcal isn't exactly Tequila. But yeah, closely related.

If you can, Don Julio 1942 with some good friends.

You can say that all you want. You can quote the internet all you want. There's a reason why Mezcal is always on the bottom shelf in stores.

That sounds really good. Mom used to make straight lamb patties when I was a kid. Used to love those things! She'd serve them with mint jelly and I thought we were livin' high on the hog, man!

Can't even hardly find lamb in the stores anymore, and when you do it's just stupid expensive, even ground.

I bought a bottle of the real deal Mezcal when I was in Mexico about 100 years ago. It's got a giant alien worm creature in it.

Never have had the guts to drink it! Seriously, that bottle must be at least 40+ years old now. I don't know if it's even any good anymore.
