New ATS Owner [Was: ATS WILL CONTINUE TO LIVE]

We are in discussion with a serious party who has our faith that they are committed to continuing the site in the same manner that's causing (most of) you to feel sad about ATS's potential disappearance. And, to invest in technology and monetization improvements.

More as we know it, and can say it.

The red-alert banner has been removed while good-faith negotiations continue.

We will soon be reviewing the contract.

As a gift to everyone this holiday season, for sticking with us. I'll be turning off all the ads.

This coming week will very likely see an exchange of ownership. Watch this space.



Note: The new owner has committed to run ATS without ads.

We're currently in the final stages of contract negotiations. We're very close to finalizing the next step in making sure ATS is preserved.

The new owner is a fan of the site. He is committed to everything we built here.

WooHoo... Congrats ATS !

Although I must admit that I also have a great deal of sadness in the transitioning (and loss) of the "Three Amigos". It's my deepest hope that you all might be able to breathe a bit easier, and maybe even feel like you can offer up some tantalizing threads and post when the urge hits you.

Been quite an interesting ride being involved with you Mark, Simon & Bill for 15 years (though I lurked for some three years prior LOL). I hope you all are successful in whatever your new endeavors might be.

I Dunno , I'm Indifferent .........

I am leery of the Transition factor called Monetization that was spoken of a few posts earlier...

cash is tight & will be decreasing at a pace matching 'Inflation' and the slow 'devaluation-of-dollar' dynamic for this home-bound Vet, also recent Widower.... so the Subscription Price is of utmost importance to me

The fact that ATS will live is wonderful news.
All other details are in the minutia against that fact, and those that want to be here will deal with it.
