It's hard to tell with that one, because JEEP31 is up pretty much every day refueling something. Looking at his track, and how far off the AR route he is though, he's probably the rescue coordinator for the search. That's a Michigan bird so it makes sense he'd be the coordinator.

Another "accident", courtesy of CCP and their loyal insiders?

Or.... let's blame the fact that they gutted the maintenance field a few years ago and got rid of the most experienced batch of maintainers, pilots are getting majorly reduced hours because our readiness is in the toilet, it was at night possibly involving ground attack, and the F-16 fleet is 30+ years old and worn out. Our leadership has done more damage than China could ever dream to do.

Yeah, cause they're loyal to the CCP! 😉

As tight as he's circling, he's definitely involved in the search. Refueling tracks are usually much longer.

Looks like Jeep 31's replacement is headed home to Milwaukee . Jeep went to Selfridge.

Haven't heard anything from the area.

Something must be up 3 hours of daylight left.

The aircraft flying as JEEP31 is based at Selfridge.

There's some really nasty stuff on the F-16, even if it was completely unarmed. You need to get all those bits and pieces cleaned up pretty quick. The last thing you want is for some hiker to stumble on the EPU bits.

The UP has lots of well trained searchers. It's normal to have classes in SAR in school and at the community level. Lots of water and swamps with not much in-between other than water swamps and trees.

Coming back into the thread. Was any wreckage found? Is the pilot safe?

Said the found the site but rather vague on the pilot. They might have called off the search. But the report said they were looking in an area that he might have ejected into.

Wreckage including possible ejection related debris was found. At this point, the pilot is almost certainly deceased. At 540pm the 115th Wing released a statement they were still searching.

They'll continue the search and rescue until they determine he could no longer be alive. Then they'll shift to a reduced recovery effort.

Reply to Mikell and Zaph.

Thank you for answering.

Well I've learned here on ATS that ejections don't always go well. Been trying to find answers, all i know is the F-16 is from the 115th air wing ANG Dane county regional airport Wisconsin. It went down at night so...

Damn.... fingers crossed. 😔

Haven't seen an aircraft in a while. So like you said, peices were found and this is a recovery.

4chan was going absolutely nuts over this early in the morning basically suggesting that there's something suspect going on with the crash. That forum is too hard to link everything but you can search for f16 and find the threads. I guess there was some very odd audio captured. The forum can be very toxic so I'm trying to be careful what all is linked. Venture there at your own risk

I don't trust anyone there to tell me the sky is blue. I'll stick with known sources and sites.
