Remember Tom & Jerry , they were cool before the PC Brigade came to town but now Warner in their infinite wisdom has brought them back from the dead alongside a female lead which , you know , makes it politically correct , kinda.

I guess some will like it but to me it looks awful , but so does most of the tripe that comes out of Hollywood these days but if you like the look of it it comes out next year.

Isn't there a law against cruelty to cartoon animals !

You're right on the money, it looks dumb like everything else coming out of Hollywood for the last many years.

Just.... no.

Leave Tom And Jerry alone and stick wasserface into a Kick-Ass sequel and call it good.

No thanks. For my money, give me T&J from the 40’s and 50’s or none at all.

There was a female lead in some of the cartoons I remember, a housekeeper.

She was not PC, lol.

I bet they don't play episodes with her anymore.

The crap from Hollywood now is almost enough to make you cheer San Andreas to go for a 10.a reply to: gortex

They've made several movies about that ...

Pick your flavor. You can see it with the Rock or Charlton Heston and Lorne Greene.

As to Tom and Jerry. They were OK, but I always liked the classic Looney Tunes better.

I'm not one to use emojis in my posts. But there's only one thing i can think of fitting enough to describe this.

That animation looks terrible. They could have done a way better job with that.

I'll stick to the T&J from 80 years ago...

twitter.com...

The strategy covers all 17 movies scheduled for release by the studio next year, including big-budget films such as the science-fiction adaptation “Dune” and a new installment in the “Matrix” franchise. HBO Max will host the movies for only their first month of theatrical release before the films follow their usual distribution pattern.
WSJ

Times are a changin. Odd how HBO was the first paying subscriber channel back in '72 and still alive as "Subscriptions" are now more important than box office thanks to Covert-19/Great Reset as a means of transition to the ideology of lockdownism.

There are a handful of writers and directors that still make great stuff (Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Wes Anderson, Ridley Scott, etc.) but besides them it’s trash baskets....

I don't recognize the chick offhand, and don't care to know her work. They're jacking my damn childhood Saturday mornings here, not cool!

Gortex, can I use that for a sign if I decide to dress up as a cat and protest this movie locally?

I did go and see the original 'Planet of the Apes' a couple of years ago as a gorilla.

It will have all of the success of the Ghostbusters remake. Hollywood just doesn’t understand or doesn’t care what people actually want to see.

It looks like they are trying to capture the magic of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
