I totally get it! My wife is the same way. I can ask her where something is, and she'll pull one out of her purse!

"Honey, have you seen the 14lb sledge hammer lately? And, my fence tightener?"

Next thing I know she'll say..."Don't you remember? You handed these to me the other day and asked me to carry them for you!"...as she proceeds to extract them from that bottomless pit!

Worse, is when she asks me to do her a favor and grab something out of her purse. I can rummage around in that thing for 20 minutes and not find it. She'll get frustrated and blindly stick her hand in there and pull it out without looking.

Okay, so "satchel" is maybe a bad name.

In the mountain man days mountain men carried what was known as a "possibles bag", which held items they could 'possibly' need during their daily travel. "Haversack" is another one.

On Wall St. they're sometimes called "Folios"

I use a tactical pouch that i bought on ebay. It's similar to a fanny pack, but better in every way.

Can you imagine how cool it would be with a chainsaw in one hand and my murse on my other shoulder??

I'd be like Freddie Krueger and Freddie Mercury all in one!

I use one occasionally...when the 20 pockets on my cargo pants aren't enough. 😂

Seriously, I sometimes use one if I'm going somewhere with my tablet or camera or other item too big to fit in my pocket. I don't ever get funny looks or snide comnents, and I'm deep in the heart of Texas.


Edit: I did look for a while before purchasing one, and I bought the manliest looking one I could find. The real trick, though, is to carry it with confidence.

You could make a satchel out of a bull's sac...

I've done that before.

Usually not off of adult bulls though. They tend to not like that too much.

It's a tactical molle(?) pouch. It fit's onto your belt, but can be removed easily. They come in sizes ranging from oversized wallet, all the way up to the size of a tire around your waste. The one I use is about the size of a 1500 page Stephen King novel (softcover).
