Biden, who promised a New Deal-style approach to addressing climate issues on the campaign trail this year, has begun formulating a governing strategy to curb carbon emissions “even without congressional action, by maximizing executive authority,” according to the Washington Post.

Although it remains unclear just how such an approach will look in execution, Biden’s promises on the campaign trail shed some light on the extent of his commitment to “environmental justice.” From promising to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord on his first day at the White House to pledging the creation of a new division within the Department of Justice to combat pollution, the former vice president has laid out an ambitious agenda on the climate.

Biden’s plan, heavily influenced by the recommendations of a unity task force set up earlier this year by the presumptive nominee and his vanquished primary rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), proposes spending $2 trillion over four years to combat climate change.

This would likely have a massive impact on the coal and natural gas industries that, according to the Energy Information Association, produce around 63 percent of all electricity in the country.

Source.

1. Bidens magic pen.

2. So now bypassing the function of the EPA and give another gestapo arm more power.

3. Spend $2 trillion . I mean money grows on tree when were all locked down and not working.

4. I guess this is what they mean by dark winter. Millions of us will be freezing to death.

As the saying goes SNIP rolls down hill.

Prepare to get drenched.

And your seriously telling me 74 million people voted for this snip?

I just don't buy it.

nope. They voted for anyone but the mean orange guy. Sure he's fixing the economy and helping to usher in peace instead of war, but he tweets mean things. And therapy puppies are expensive.

But don't worry, a number of those who voted did so from below the 6 ft of dirt margin. Their opinions aren't as important these days.

Sad part is that it will be the city dwellers that voted for him that will be hurt the most. I'm an essential worker and live in a mild climate, so I'll be just fine.

It's 31 degrees F here this morning, I just hope there is enough available wood left in the neighbors' houses that I can scavenge when SHTF to keep the chill off.

Blame Congress for giving the Exec the power of the pen then.

Trump used it on some dubious crap and now Biden is going to as well.

I wish people would use some common sense and put blame where blame is.due.

God only knows what the next asshat....err President will push.

If this actually happens, this is what the people wanted. It's sad but this is on the brainwashed masses who voted for this. What's even sadder is that when this contributes to the crumbling of the economy and the eroding of our freedoms, those who voted for this will believe once again that it was those from the center to right that caused all of this. Four years from now every leftist actor, politician, athlete etc. will once again convince America that it was "their" fault.

Yep.

If it was ok when Trump did it, it’s now going to be ok when Biden does it. Hell, he doesn’t even have to get senate approval for his choices. If an “acting” role worked for Trump, it’ll work for Biden as well.

This is the long game his followers refused to acknowledge. Every single precedent set by the Trump administration will be exploited by whoever comes next.

Dude...its a fact. And as we know, democrats gotta pass stuff so they can read it.

But this overreach of power has been allowed by a bipartisan mob of derelict douchebags over many years.

Called the Do Nothing Congress.

On the bright side, when the cities burn to the ground and half the people in this country die from starvation, those of us who survive will just keep on working and wondering why there were so many idiots living in the same place anyway.

They've packed themselves into buildings like sardines in a can, then screamed at the sky until they started a fire... Can't fix stupid.

When life gets harder and no one can afford anything, that's what you voted for. Elections have consequences. I'll just be here to say "I told you so."

Everything Biden has said he wants to do, so far, have all been things that will destroy this country and her economy. It's too bad his supporters (and we all know there aren't 77 million of them) are too dense and blinded by hate to see it. Democrats are dead set on destroying us for some reason.

That racist old bastard has to win it all first. Would you have ever guessed that, after calling Trump a racist for 4 years and saying a racist doesn't belong in the white house, that they would have gone off and elected a white democrat with an actual racist past? Racists don't change, they've told us this for years.

When socialist says; "We must follow science" they actually say "you must do anything I say no questions asked." Then they cherry-pick scientific studies that fit their agenda, because who would dare to question science. Science is the god of the current age, and his priests are the socialists, a god no one dare question.

Yes, the Soviet Union was big on being scientifically constructed or something too. Chernobyl showed us how well that worked out.

I expect to see a Biden Administration regulate several of my customers out of business. He will say, “America doesn’t need things like petrochemicals or disk brake pads.” We can buy them from China. Better save up for $5.00 per gallon gasoline.

Many thanks to all of my Democratic friends.

Don't forget banning gas powered automobiles.

Also, don't forget all buildings will have to have enough solar panels to be energy independent or be torn down by the government. That's one way to end private property ownership, as lower class homeowners will be forced out of their homes and into government housing.

The problem with Biden’s plan is the United States generates about 14 percent of all anthropogenic greenhouse gases, while China and India produce fully one-third of the world’s total. So whatever we do isn’t going to make much of a dent in emissions.

The Paris Climate Agreement doesn’t require China or India to reduce emissions until 2030, and they plan to build hundreds of additional coal-fired power plants in the meantime. Not only that, but they’re supposed to receive aid from the First World to help them reduce emissions! Who’s gonna pay for that? The United States?

As devastated as the global economy is from the Chinese virus — which has caused public debt to soar and revenues to drop — any greenhouse gas plan remotely resembling AOCs will be unaffordable. And you can forget any kind of national health care scheme like Medicare for all. The money’s simply not there, not even if we cut defense in half and soak the rich. Reparations for African Americans? Can’t afford it.

I really feel sorry for Millennials and Gen Z; they’re totally screwed. They’re going to be saddled with so much public debt to service. But I’m getting sidetracked from the climate change issue.

Joe and Kamala don’t care that our population will grow almost a third by 2065 according to Pew Research. About 90 percent of that growth will be caused by immigrants who haven’t even arrived yet and their children and grandchildren born here.

And something liberals/progressives refuse to consider — if they’ve ever thought about it — is that immigrants from poor nations produce far more greenhouse gases in America. But it would be racist to drastically reduce immigration, so I’m sure a Biden admin will open the floodgates once again. Yippee!
