So the Chinese don't trust him more than they trust Trump? Interesting. I wonder what they base this on. Trump has always been openly antagonistic to China so it seems hard to believe they wouldn't like Biden better.

The Chinese have a different culture. Trump is a hard ass, but he's a hard ass Xi can trust as far as knowing what Trump's next move is because he always does what he says he'll do.

Thank you for backing up my statement about Xi is privately thinking Biden is a big fool.

I have a lot of relatives in China and friends as well who all love Trump. Trump represents freedom and the American dream, and Trump opposes communism and socialism.

Young and old citizens of China love him, like him etc. They detest Biden.

Thank you for backing up what I wrote.
it's even well known in the Chinese community here in Japan that Biden is a big fool. And never to be trusted on his word either. Because it's been pounding into our hedge that Biden says one thing and then retracts and says another thing retracts and says another thing. As far as the Chinese are concerned Biden has lost the world stage presence of being a man worthy of trust.
and as far as Trump goes on the Asian scene they know they can trust them because he means business when he speaks.

Interesting that Trump is popular among the people. My impression is there is also a great deal of grassroots patriotism in China and Trump makes no bones about painting China as an existential adversary. Maybe a case of "an enemy you can respect?"

As for them hating Biden I'm surprised they know enough about him to hate him.

The Chinese mainland China people know more about Biden in the major cities than they the Russians do.
You ask Russians about Biden and they'll say who.
You ask the Chinese about Biden and they shake their head like Xi did he just gave a nice smirk on world television and you can read with that smirk meant when it came to Xi being asked about Biden.
You all do realize that Xi has not accepted Biden as president yet nor has the Japanese government yet.
And my firm belief I really think there's going to be a lot of distrust in the Asian countries toward Biden.
If you watch how not watch but listen how they're marketing Harris on television now they're calling her the first black American and Asian American to be possible vice president.
I have never ever heard of Jamaican call themselves a black person. And I've never heard an Indian call themselves an Asian.

Odds are not good for Biden being in that job long if they do get away with the steal. What do they think of Harris?

My friend's on Skype they say that Harris's smile kind of represents something like two fake straight arrows shooting toward her own butt.
They can't really explain too well about Harris other than the vibes are like who is Harris at the moment.
and when I tell my friends about she's calling herself or in the news media is calling her an Asian American they they say what.

Prime minister suga has says he'll support whichever person gets into the Oval Office.
One thing about prime minister suga he always looks depressed.
But what the Japanese people have now understand and taken seriously is that prime minister suga has his own mind and he doesn't give a flying heck what other world leaders may think of him he too is pro-japanese that's right he's very much pro-japanese and he's in a way like Trump he wants law and order in his country.
He wants to seek fair and just treatment toward all citizens here in Japan.

I like the fact Suga comes from a humble inaka background. He may not radiate the same charisma as Abe but I get the feeling he knows how to struggle sincerely and be quietly determined.

But we don't hear much about him in the west.

China said Monday it is holding off on sending any message of congratulations. Foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said the result of the election would be determined under U.S. laws and procedures. www.cnbctv18.com...

so far China could careless about Biden, but they do expect to make BIG dollars $$$ and steal more military and American products if Biden is elected.

You really do love sweeeeeeeeeeping generalisations dont you, not sure what they have to do with anything but...

You maybe need to study more geography if you are going to speak for a whole country, what continent is India in? how many indians out of the 1.3billion have you asked, does your anecdotol evidence beat mine? I know Indians that do call themselves Asian, how many of the 2.9million Jamacans have you asked?

Bob Marley famous Jamacian and a couple of his songs

Buffalo Soldier

Slave Driver

Maybe listen to the lyrics rather than just the beat

Officially Taiwan has congratulated the president-elect, while China has withheld commentary awaiting legal endorsement on the victory.

Their state run media has provided a tidbit about their mindset though:

Strategic trust has been destroyed, high level political exchanges have almost completely stopped and there's no substantial cooperation," Xin Qiang, a US studies expert at Fudan University, told state media.

"But Biden may at least make some breakthroughs on the latter two aspects.

And here is the State controlled Twitter version:

Yeah I like prime minister suga.
He is in fact a very humble person and the fact that he cares about the Japanese society and whole speaks a lot for a person that really never grew up in a political family.
The self-starter I guess is what we would say in America.
We'll see how he treats North Korea and see if North Korea is taking the Hokkaido crabs this year.
