US Election - Are the people voting on whether Trump goes to jail or not?

So much debate is raging about whether Trump or Biden will win, but perhaps what has been lost is the very real possibility that Trump will be arrested as soon as he leaves the Whitehouse in January 2021 (if he loses)

Here is an article from MSNBC - yes those morons that have as much credibility as the Onion.
I use them as a source because they represent the radical mindset of leftists that would be vindictive enough to actually follow through with jailing an ex-President.

Legal analyst and Above the Law editor Elie Mystal told MSNBC on Saturday said that if President Donald Trump isn't reelected in 2020, he could be arrested immediately by the Southern District of New York (SDNY) when he leaves the White House.

During a segment on AM Joy, Mystal explained to host Joy Reid that the SDNY investigation has elevated the stakes for the president when it comes to winning the 2020 presidential election.

"The irony here, that I hope it is not lost on people, is that the Trump Organization, which appears to be a massive criminal front, is so small potatoes that if Trump hadn't run for president, SDNY wouldn't care," he said. "SDNY cares about stopping terrorists.

"Putting SDNY on the Trump investigation is a little bit like bringing in Sherlock Holmes to figure out who framed Roger Rabbit," Mystal continued. "These people are such cartoonish criminals that now that SDNY is on it, they're all going down."

Listen to the language ... "appears to be a massive criminal front". On national television, live... just throwing that accusation out there with no evidence...

...then

"The irony here, that I hope it is not lost on people...if Trump hadn't run for president, SDNY wouldn't care"

The psychology of that statement is pretty incredible.

This leftist is not just frothing at the mouth to see Trump in jail, his lust for vengeance is not going to be satiated unless Trump is in jail and it is very visible to people that him running for and winning the Presidency is the REAL reason he ended up in jail.

He finishes with :

This election is so important for Donald Trump. Because if he does not win, SDNY is going to be waiting with cuffs on his way out the door."

These leftists have shown that they no longer care about consequences for using the full power of the Govt to go after their political enemies... because they have seen that there are no consequences.

I would very much doubt that this lunatic on MSNBC just over a year ago is a lone voice - in fact, I would say there are millions of leftists simply salivating at the idea and will only feel whole again if they see this play out.

This, I think, is their wet dream.

Going to jail for what, exactly?

Trump has had so many investigations in the last 4 years that it is stunning and they have so far found absolutely nothing that they can use to get rid of him.

So when he is a private citizen again, what actually changes?

The SDNY doesn't really matter with the caliber of lawyers that Trump has at his disposal...

Nah, this is all just projection by the left leadership.

The actual criminals, it is turning out.

But hey, same Democrat playbook for the last 80 years or so.

Damn, it's a shame the Mueller folks didn't have any way to contact the SDNY. Just think of how much better the impeachment would have gone if they had a real crime to talk about.

But aside from Trump being arrested and hung, there is also the possibility of Biden having his work investigated and his own impeachment to deal with, and you are welcome for the obligatory whataboutism.

I don't think whether Trump has broken the law will be the determining factor on whether he goes to jail.
Whatever it takes in the eyes of the radical left.
Justice is no longer blind in modern-day America - we've seen that.

If Trump loses he will give himself and his cabinet full pardons for all crimes real or imagined. He would be a fool not to do it with all these vindictive Democrats out there.

State prosecutors still might come after him but Trump has deep pockets and can afford the best lawyers around. Plus they still have to make a case that will sway a jury. It'll cost them $$$ to do it.

He could pardon his family and friends - who I think will also be targets - but whether he can pardon himself is up for debate.
What we may see is him resigning between Nov 3rd and Inauguration day and handing over the reigns to Pence - for Pence to pardon him... much like Ford pardoned Nixon.

If they care about stopping terrorists, where were they this summer? SDNY is south district New York, right?

Were they too busy investigating Trumps organization that they had no time to deal with the rioters caught? Why were they just releasing them back onto the streets the same night they get arrested?

Read how they wrote the article, then try to remember the riots. I know it was a long time ago for some, but something doesn't add up.

Also, it seems like our journalists and article writers need some well needed additional training as much as our police force.

He's not going to jail, neither is Hillary, Bill, Obama, Nixon..etc, etc

i really don't think they'll even try to put him in jail. seeing that he has been in office 4 yrs, he's had enough time to get dirt on people in high places. to think that the dems are the only one that have people in the right places to get dirt or leak it would be foolish. you can bet trump knows a lot more than he says.

second as one member has already said, he's got knowledge that other entities would kill for. prison is not a secure place no matter how many guards or tech you have.

Imagine in three or fours years when Trump haters are screeching about why Trump hasn't been put in prison yet.
