Former Vice President Joe Biden doubled down on his calls to ban “assault weapons” and “high capacity” magazines and to institute other gun controls on the final Sunday of his 2020 presidential campaign.

Breitbart News reported that Biden’s proposals not only contain a ban on the future manufacture of AR-15s and other firearms the Democrats label “assault weapons” but also a provision that could require every AR-15 rifle to be registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). Unless there was some form of carve-out, this could mandate that American gun owners pay a $200 federal tax for each AR-15 that they own.

Biden is also pushing universal background checks, as he reiterated in his November 1, 2020, tweet.

Other gun proposals being pushed by Biden include:

A provision that could ban online sales of ammunition, guns, and gun parts.
A pledge to revive the Social Security gun ban, which targeted benefit recipients who needed help managing their finances. The ban was adopted during the last full month of the Obama presidency and repealed during the first full month of the Trump presidency.
A provision that would limit Americans a one-gun-a-month purchase maximum. The Biden campaign website says, “Biden supports legislation restricting the number of firearms an individual may purchase per month to one.”
A push to incentivize states to license would-be gun owners. Biden’s campaign website says, “Biden will enact legislation to give states and local governments grants to require individuals to obtain a license prior to purchasing a gun.”

A Vote for Joe Biden is a vote for a souless corrupt (insert your preffered word choice).

This may mark the day when we are finally disarmed as a so called free people.

Thugs running rough shot across the streets of America.

Kleptocrats doing everything they can for power and control.

The media establishment hell bent on lying to you.

Social media establishment hell bent on silencing you.

And a political hack and partner in crime hell bent on disarming you.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

I pray those with souls don't let Joe Biden and Kamala Harris anywhere near the oval office.

Everything literally depends on it.

I retort.

You decide.

The stupid thing is that AR-15s work like any other handgun- you have to pull the trigger for every round. People think you can just hold the trigger down and rounds come spilling out. No. Just like a handgun, you have to pull the trigger for every single shot.

I can't believe the apathy about this topic.
Using generic terms subject to interpretation is a slippery slope.
When will it be announced that any semi auto gun is an assault weapon?
7 rounds is high capacity?

Same goes for judging someone's mental stability.

You were on anti anxiety meds after your divorce 10 years ago! You're unstable so no gun for you...

From our own history.

The state made sure the natives only had bows and arrows while they kept all the advanced weaponry to themselves.

And they still live on reservations to this day.

this is exactly taken from the strict regulations of europe where this is already the law.
non-right wing-politicians use every terror incident to take away more gun rights until everyone is disarmed except terrorists because illegal weapons dont bother them. they love terrorists because terrorists are the argument for more NWO actions like surveillance, digitally controlled money etc.

i hope its clear for everyone that with biden the usa will turn into some kind of socialist european union monster.
fight for your freedom before its too late!

It doesn't even matter to point this out. The people who are scared of guns will still be scared of guns.

I'm much more scared of not being able to have a gun than I am of someone else having one.

Dang it! I was totally on board and was going to give up anything I had, but just the other week me and the boys went on this epic fishing trip, long story short, Bill done flipped the boat over and I lost everything!

Sorry Joe, i would have loved to give them over to you man.

Remember in 2016 that story agout the shooter with an “assault revolver”?

I don’t know what an assault revolver is, but i want one.

People who talk about “assault weapons” just shouldn’t be allowed to make gun policy.

Though i do hope i can find some takers for my assault longbow soon.

If no one has a legal gun, we all become targets for anyone that doesn't follow the law.

Biden campaigns for more Trump votes again. Like the Biden Bus support of the rolling Trump rally was.

If Biden is elected and the Dems hold the house and take the senate it will happen... also expect there to be an epidemic of boating accidents while duck hunting for any semi-auto privatly owned.

I found what might be considered an assault pisol but I am still looking for that assault revolver. It gives an entirely new meaning to pistol whipped.

But, but, they look scary...and aren't those the guns that soldiers use? Why would any normal law abiding citizen ever need to have an 'assault gun'. It's right in the name 'assault' it means they're made 'especially' for killing people. Not like those other 'non-assault' guns people use for target practice and hunting and stuff.

Ok sorry...i'm going to stop now...even saying it sarcastically is pissing me off.

My in-laws came down from Mass with some other distant family members, we were hanging out drinking Saturday night and eventually the conversation came to gun control. Thankfully, we’re able to have calm conversations. The distant family members are clearly left-leaning, with my in-laws generally voting conservative.

“No one should be able to own a gun that can let you spray across a large area and take down multiple with one pull of the trigger.”

It took a good 5 minutes of showing this guy multiple sources/videos on how AR’s are not fully-automatic. He was rather surprised because he’s thought for years that all AR’s were fully auto. I then showed him a video of how fast one can change a clip in a 9mm and again, he was rather taken back.

When I told him we became gun owners, he was quick to ask what made us want to buy one. A couple years ago, less than a mile from my house, a man was killed in a car jacking. We’ve also got a junkie living across the street and the dude continuously has a bunch of thugged out dudes hanging in his driveway. Walking our dog one night we could hear them talking about robbing a store and pulling guns on people. The next day we purchased our first gun. I pointed at my wife and said “My number 1 priority is ensuring she is safe. When you’ve got people openly discussing armed robbery in your presence, it’s enough of a threat.”, he understood.

I don’t know where that discussion will leave him in regards to future thoughts on gun control, but at least I educated him to a degree and made him understand my reasons for arming myself.

Well, I was glad that Trump did not allow Obama's law for social security recipients not to have guns if their spouse or someone was to manage their money. Otherwise they could have come for my guns since my wife is managing my social security because I have a permanent disability for epilepsy.

I am not a threat to anyone, other than a troublesome bear or a criminal trying to break into my house....just have to make sure the criminal is not black if I shoot I guess, only white people breaking into your occupied house can be shot from what Democrats say or it is Racism.

Also, since my Desert eagle will take a high output magazine, even though I do not own a magazine like that since I don't need it, it is considered an assault weapon...

Bad timing Joe. I heard about this 17 year old that was chased and attacked by a guy with a heavy blunt object, a blindside kicker and a guy with a pistol. All three were in fact felons: rape/domestic violence, pedophilia and robbery/felony breaking and entering....but anyway, the kid escaped certain death by using an AR-15 on the bad guys.

Who can stop him?
He'll have a Senate to pass a law with a simple majority after Schumer removes the need for 60 votes and Pelosi to push it through the House.
So what then? The SC?
They will vote as the Democrats demand - or they know they can be made irrelevant with court-packing. We're already seeing Kavanaugh voting with Democrat wishes (to extend an election way beyond election day no less) and immediately Barratt recusing herself from election-related decisions.

The election was lost the moment mail-in voting was expanded so dramatically.
I am yet to see any Republican/Trump supporter come up with any viable path for Trump. It's all red wave this, silent majority that. Just talk. Forgive me for not believing the talk - if Republican talk was ever going to turn into action it would have happened years ago.
Just like 2018, Republicans sat on their assess and they lost the House - the Impeachment and the constant House investigations and smearing of the President is Republicans fault. Too lazy to vote. Why would it be any different this time?

The last 2-3 days has been genuinely sad to watch - these rallies, boat parades, caravans are like the death cry of a nation as the remaining patriots - a minority now - finally realise they lost their country.

Sorry Trump supporters - I know you'll hate me for this post (and I would prefer Trump to win) - but the die was cast long before Tuesday 3rd November.

There is no chance of that happening.
RCP don't even consider MN a battleground. Even the Trafalgar poll has Biden winning +3.
The last 10 polls have Biden up by nearly 10% on average.
We have had 3 days of bluster now by the Trump campaign in an all-out assault to try and save the election - but it's nothing more than the dying throes of his presidency.
