i can imagine vertical racks(in a heavy transport) of laser guided bombs and or missiles and just drop the empty racks and roll another one into place.

with the right altitude and muntion and the fact everything is networked now it would be a potent bombardment, i could see something like that being useful in NorKor or Chinas fake islands

it could also deploy decoys and cruise missiles but that is kind of a given at this point.

You are kind of describing carpet bombing with precision guided munitions. Why throw away all of those bombs when only a few are necessary?

By the time you have air superiority to allow such craft into the battle zone you have a lot more precise options which reduce the need for just blowing everything up which doesn't really do much as those you want to get at will be in bunkers nice and safe.

You also probably would need an entire fleet of b-52s or something of similar capacity to be able to launch that much firepower at one point making it a tasty target should some air defences escape the initial run by stealth fighters.

Also more stuff = more weight = more fuel = bigger planes = longer runways and you soon get the idea that scaling up over a certain point becomes pointless.

In order to operate efficiently, an arsenal ship would need advanced rapidly interchangeable mission module technology.

Fortunately, such technology has already been developed, refined and regularly deployed for years.
