You have given me a few ideas.

One. Your the type of person if you were born 1000 years from now. And discovered the works of Star Wars and the Jedi. You probably would think people in this time could travel by hyperspace. And Jedi was the dominant religion. And it was all kept secret by some “secret society.” When In reality Star Wars was only fiction.

Two. Maybe “firmament” is some recessive memory of being in our mothers womb. Are from evolving from sea life.

Three. We were actually created by extraterrestrials. Or slaves of extraterrestrials. And our ancient ancestors misinterpreted a space ship (or an explanation/conversation by our alien over lords which were god like to us) coming in to fast and at the wrong angle, and bounced off earth’s atmosphere. Living them with the false interpretation of a real event they labeled firmament.

I'm calling you a liar or deluded, Heru. A 'firmament' has never been found by anyone who has actually left the surface of the Earth. There is no evidence anywhere, but there is plenty of evidence that there is not one.

If you're so fond of quoting from books, why not quote something from Newton's Principia? Or Einstein's General Relativity?

It’s proven your interpretation of their firmament being “solid” is wrong. Or no longer holds true. By phenomena I have witnessed and experienced, along with others you ignore, by the fact meteorites fall to earth. And comets travel about the solar system.

You don’t even have an explanation why it appears the sun sets below the horizon which would be impossible on a flat earth.

There is no distortion of sun light falling on earth other than what is accounted for by a gaseous atmosphere that produces rain storms.

Your fantasy is at odds with the reality most experience where we are blessed seeing the beauty of a meteorite falling to earth. Unless it becomes explosive like what happened in Siberia in 1908. Or the Chelyabinsk meteor caught in multiple videos over Russia in 2013.

Or we are blessed witnessing the phenomena labeled comet traveling around the sun.

Many here star gaze with binoculars and or telescopes.

There is no proof of your firmament in our witnessed explored reality. There is no proof your firmament is falling apart and producing meteorites as you claimed.

Funny. Your the only one that believes the firmament because it’s part of a religion. In a book. While others have looked and explored the actual world around them. And questioned, and found no current proof of a “solid” firmament in their reality.

Why does the sun set beyond the horizon. Blocked physically from view by the curvature of the earth if the earth is flat.

The guy in the video gives a great explanation why the sun sets:

The sun never really rises or sets it merely comes towards you as it circles around the flat earth at a real height of only 3,000 mile up or so .. thus giving off the illusion of rising from the horizon or from the vanishing point if you will. When it appears to set, the same thing happens in reverse, it is going away from you until it reaches “again” the vanishing point and appears to “set.”

Is that the truth, not sure, I'm not a scientist, but it's a working theory.
