Now many of trumps campaign staff are infected and the reelection efforts are in tatters.

The Trump white house is a cesspool of virus. They have to shut it down and move Trump to one of his casinos he bankrupted.

One is gambling with their health even visiting the white house.

The POTUS isn't like an ordinary person.

Everyone is tested before they meet with him and I'm sure his office is cleaned like crazy.

What's the chance of an asymptomatic person giving a false negative only spreading it to Republicans - outside in an open environment?

I would honestly say its a hoax of some kind. Not the disease itself, as its obviously real. But the losing of minds, and complete shut down of economies...

Sweden seems to have done pretty well.

And if you look at states allowing high school football to continue vs states who aren't, you can easily see the battle lines that have been drawn.

I guess all im saying is, one party decided to make political hay out of this.

Maybe they are just the ones being talked about on the news? Have any dem congress members or dem white house staff been on the news for catching it?

The news could be not reporting on the dem cases in order to make the repubs look bad. What has fox or breitbart said about dem cases?

Don't know if it's just Republicans, but there were a few people at the superspreader event in the Rose Garden wearing masks, in one of the videos a woman even had a face shield.

Likely why they most likely will not get it. It seems to be the close talking huggers who were affected, who also continued close contact with others without precautions after the event. She had a mask on the other day and it was just about under her nose, she was probably spreading then. She has been without a mask most of the time in the past few days, likely contagious.

It seems they really do not want the numbers of the white house spread noted. I just read they told the press pool to not use the White House medical unit and if they feel they need a test They were told to go to their own doctors.

I think there are some major questions to be asked and answered regarding vectors, to be honest.

As well as masks and face shields.

about 2 months ago I sat indoors approximately 5 feet away from someone who had COVID (they got diagnosed the following day after having "seasonal allergies" for 2 or 3 days). As a Remicade patient, i would expect that I would be highly susceptible.

Yes they did; And it didn't exactly turn out like they wanted. American politics, gota love it!! This time last year, I was working for the local GOP media pool. This year they don't even have an office all ZOOm...Covid19.

I think it's really hard to say. That is the problem with this illness. Some recover nicely, some without a bad case and no underlying conditions are seeing problems after they have recovered also. Were you wearing a mask at the time? Either way, glad you did not get it!

I think the White House has been reckless and maybe were thinking as no one had gotten it in months of no protection that they would not get it ever and relaxed. Who knows.

The virus isn't a hoax... the reaction to it is the hoax.

My wife is a nurse. She agrees as well.

The virus response is why she is voting Trump. Because of COVID the people who pay my paycheck feel they are justified in reducing my salary by almost 20k a year. Since I need my health insurance (that Obama was nice enough to triple the costs of), Im in a position of just having to eat the loss. For now.

Thank you for offering a slew of information on the nature of this test itself. I have learned from it. But for me it raises other questions. One is simple. This test was designed forty years ago to test for something other than Covid19 so how can it work? Good question and one that many are asking. But for me it raises another question.

Remember when Trump was trumpeting the line that anyone can get a test when ever they want? That was months ago, like March I think, over half a year ago.

So what is the test he was talking about? Is there another? If there is another why is this the test that is being used on him and his family and his staff if it is so out of date and useless? He's the President for crying out loud.

And in that time, where has the push for a more up dated test? Is there one that can replace this old out dated test? I haven't heard of one. So where is the White House plan to find a better test.

So yeah, I agree that we need to look at the nature of this test and determine its validity. But even more than that we need to look at the nature of the White House Administration and it's validity as well.

A quick look, and that is all I have to offer at this point is simple. I see failure. Failure to have a better test developed.
Failure to alert the American public of the dramatic potential of this virus(as stated by Trump in the Woodward tapes) failure to protect themselves and those around them by wearing masks.
