Doesn't matter, trump said we would have a vaccine before the election. A wonderful vaccine!!

www.bloomberg.com...

don't hold your breath....

I won’t hold my breath, because why would a person take a vaccine for a virus? Vaccines aren’t effective against viruses. So taking one for the flu or the common cold (which is what this covid-19 is) is pretty pointless.

That is so infuriating! The situation with your son in-law’s job. I’m so sorry. I guess we have to be careful now, to whom we reveal anything about our health. It’s not right.

Are you sure you and your wife don’t just have fall allergies right now? Mine were horrendous last week; sneezing constantly, itchy watery eyes, and all that sneezing leads to head congestion and then wheezing and coughing. I just kept on Benadryl for a few days and it went away when the mold or whatever was less abundant. It sounds like you both just might have seasonal allergies.

Nah. I get fall allergies, they were just getting over when I got wet hauling a bunch of metal to the scrap yard that accumulated around the yard over the years, I gave it to them, it was all lightweight stuff, some I hauled here from the kids and grandkids houses temporarily this summer so I could haul it away for them. They work during the time the scrap yard is open. I also help them haul their junk to the monthly trash collection, furniture and stuff like that goes there, I have a truck, nobody else has a truck.

The wife was out on the porch of the museum with her knitting friends that day too, it was a covered porch, they can't meet inside anywhere, so three or four old women go there for their weekly gab about everything going on in the community while they sit and knit. They won't get to go to the library this winter either, it is just a social gathering outside now. She is probably the one that got the cold and gave it to me. I wasn't around anyone, but she was around two other woman in their seventies. Colds go around all the time. My cold is nearly gone today and so is hers. Hers was worse, it always is, mine is just an occasional cough and runny nose...I usually never get as sick as she does.

Got to pick up the Son in law tonight at ten oclock....I hate that late night driving, Headlights bother me more now that I am getting old, I guess they do for lots of Senior Citizens, I am now sixty five and they do not adjust back nearly as fast as they used to when bright lights are shining in them. Plus, the deer are starting to move now and there are many more of them on the road.

My daughter probably just has a cold too, probably caught it from us. If I do get in an accident tonight, it willl be covid related because the crazies in this country who are making a big issue out of this made it so I had to go out and get my son in law tonight. If I hit a deer, the deers death will be a covid related death.

The cold is usually corona virus. That's why they chose this particular family of virus to weaponize against us. It's one of the most populace virus on the planet...and you have had it. All of us have.

Check first for the presence of the other identifying symptoms. especially high temperature.
I have been suffering with blocked noses and coughing up phlegm on and off for months, but I've nevr had the high temperature.

So how does it work now; is every cold we get this winter to be treated like we have Covid?

Yeah. But I've tested negative for Covid twice and that doesn't stop anyone from treating me like I have it right now. It's the new paranoia, and it's going to be around for a long, !ong time, possibly for the rest of your life.

COVID is a dry cough, no green and yellow phlegm.

Why have you been tested twice? What made you think you needed testing?

I was wondering about this in light of all the wildfires we've had recently in the PNW. I had a scratchy throat from all the smoke and had to go several places where they asked if I'd had any symptoms of COVID, including a sore throat. Honestly wanted to say "WTF do you think? Have you looked outside? We're breathing the same smoke day in day out, right?"[/qu

I was fighting a tickle in my throat from all the smoke and it was really awkward at work, even though outside, in case anyone would hear. Night time, I woke myself coughing ever so slightly a bunch of times and know it was just smoke.

For people with lung or allergy issues the smoke would have very much mimicked cold/flu/covid so that question could be difficult.

It's a really good point you have.

Exactly. That's how I concluded that I was suffering from something else.

During the smokiest days, I had to go to the grocery store. I'd feel the impulse to cough, and if there was another person nearby, I'd stifle it so as not to invite suspicion or alarm. It really is ridiculous what it's come to.

Vaccinations are effective against viruses. (Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis, rotavirus, and polio are among childhood vaccinations.) Perhaps you meant antibiotics, which have no effect on viruses.

My daughter came down this morning saying it burned when she peed. UTI consequence of a recent bubble bath. She had a fever of 99.9. Of course her pediatrician is close so I took her to convenient care in town. The wanted to do a covid test anyway. I said we would pass. The nurse practitioner we saw said she "strongly recommended" the covid test due to her symptoms. I asked if burning with urination was a common symptom of covid and she, of course, said no. I asked her if its a common symptom of a UTI. Of course it is. She still said she *insisted*. I told her she was free to "insist" for her own children, but never for mine. I told her I "insisted" she call in the Dr she worked under. She checked the urinalysis and confirmed the UTI, called in the antibiotic and we left.

Yes. Every single time there is an opportunity for them to test, they will "insist".

Good for you!!! I applaud your persistence, especially when someone is blatantly pushing for an unnecessary test.

Apparently when you crunch the numbers, the economy is better off when people DONT "soldier on" and go to work with a cold or flu, let alone covid19. Because they spread it around so much. I'm sorry I dont have a source for this, I read it somewhere ages ago.

I work at a public school and I recently had a cold and called in sick. I had a burning, raw sore throat, a mild cough and some chest congestion, and felt crappy. It all came on suddenly on a Saturday night. I believe the bad air from all the fires was the catalyst. I was told I had to get a Covid19 test with a negative response in order to come back to work so I tested on a Tuesday because that was the soonest and didn't get the results until the following Wednesday afternoon, which were negative and I returned to work Thursday morning. It was $25 for my doctor copay appt, $100 for the test which will go against my $2,000 annual deductible which I have only $175 year to date and it will start over again in Jan 2021. I just hope I don't have to have a Covid19 test every time I am ill which will cost me $125.00 each test.

Soon they start looking the colour of the face, and say you look pale ...and it can only mean , covid ..then they take their phone and report you ...then a van shows up ....then you are gone and we never hear about you again .

For those on Twitter Ivor is asking #Whyaretheydoingthis

They are projecting positive tests as cases but they can tell as Ivor says
1. False Positives
2. Old Fragments ( i.e. dead viral particles )
3. Trivial Positives a small viral load be contained by a T-cell response

The actual amount of positive Test from studies that turn into cases needing a medical intervention is 10%.

So far the Science is predicting the similar curve to the rest of respirator seasons deaths will increase at the normal rate.

Predictions from 3 months ago do not match any government forecast but do match the science predictions.

So unfortunately some will die but if we start now with increasing our health and immune systems it will not be many. Boost Vitamin intake if your unable to get out in the sun learn about your needs.

Have fun and STFA from everyone if you're sick.

A failure rate of 0.8%?

That's a 27 minute video. A minute in the guy presenting admitted he has no medical experience or knowledge whatsoever.

So do me a favour and give me a summary?

Anyways it's false negatives that's the real problem.

The PCR part of the test multiplies the virus. I'm unsure if Covid-19 shares genetic indicators with other Corona viruses. If that's why 'false positives' are possible then one has to ask how many corona viruses are spreading amongst our populations.

Again I'm not watching a 27 min video of someone attempting to explain to me how the replication part of the test equals everything flawed. I don't know what indicators are looked for after the PCR part of the test. A brief watch of the video (and your reply) alludes to something that is shared by all corona viruses.

If that's the case how many corona virus are circulating?

Also to add. PCR testing isn't the only test. Here the NHS does do antibody tests too. Their failure rate is a damn sight less than 0.8%
