That's what my wife said. That's how they make the 1st approach. If you say nothing they back off and go away. I never said a thing and they didn't harass me. Possible they wanted to see if I wanted to run in that crowd.

Having lived in a city or two in my life, I learned that you keep your fat mouth shut or else. Somethings, like gunfight we go ahead and report to get those guys off the streets. But if it is piddly stuff with no proof in your hands, it will get you hurt. Stay smart and pick your battles.
In High School trip to Pizza Hut I saw a stabbing. I gave a deposition with several others and the perp went to jail when they caught him a few hours later. Yes, I was marked but I was involved by being within feet of it and everyone else knew me and all fingered me as a good witness. There was nothing to do but share my witness of others also that would get him arrested, and we let the chips fall. That was a juvenile and I was too. No issues that time but I was worried.
